It's our duty to pay tributes to Sir. M.V. by revisiting his life stories and his achievements to build a strong nation.

Sir M. Visvesvaraya was born on September 15, 1860 in Muddenahalli village in (princely state of Mysore) Kolar district of Karnataka.

His father :Mokshagundam Srinivasa Sastry, was a school teacher and a noted Sanskrit scholar.
His mother: Venkatalakshamma, was a homemaker.
At his early age i.e.15 years he lost his father.
After completion of primary education in Chikkaballapur, he moved to Bangalore for his higher education.

In 1881, he received a BA degree from Central College, Bangalore.
then he went at College of Engineering, Pune.

He received LCE (Licenciate in Civil Engineering) equivalent to DCE (Diploma in Civil Engineering) from the University of Bombay.
Started his journey as a PWD of Bombay and later was invited to join the Indian Irrigation Commission.

He designed
*Flood protection system.
*He was designed system to protect Visakhapatnam port.
*Invented the Block System automated doors that close in the conditions of overflow
After all these successes..

Sir. M. V. supervised in the construction of KRS(Krishna Raja Sagara) Dam on the Kaveri river.

When it was built, this dam considered as biggest reservoir in Asia.
As a Diwan of maisooru

Appointed as the Chief Engineer of Mysore State in 1909.
In 1912 he was Diwan of the princely state of Mysore.

As the Diwan, he made immense contribution towards the overall development of the state.
He helped in founding
" Government Engineering College" at Bangalore in 1917.

In later days that was renamed as the "Visvesvaraya College of Engineering".
When he was "Diwan of Maosooru"

he was founded eminent institution such as

* Mysore Soap Factory
* Bangalore Agricultural Universit
* Parasitoid Library
* State Bank of Mysore
* Mysore Iron and Steel Works.
He written many books related to economy and development of india

* Planned Economy for India.
* Unemployment in India: Its causes & cure
* Post-War Reconstruction in India
Many more.. ( on his memories).
This great Indian engineer Sir. M. V. lived a long with revolutionary ideas to reconstruct India,
and died on 14 April 1962 at old age of 102 years.

ಆ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಎಲ್ಲ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಗುಣಗಳು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಇಂತಹ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದ ತಂದೆ ಮಧುಲಿಂಗ ನಾಯಕ, ಮಲ್ಲಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರ ಸದಾಶಿವ ನಾಯಕನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕಲಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಗುರುಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡಲಾಯಿತು.
