Abhira being scythian? No. Abhiras were not scythian. They are mentioned in Mahabharata several times, being of Haiheya Chandravanshi origin. The vrishni and gop who later consolidated into Abhira through Nipa name [D.R. Regmi mentions Gopalavamsha-Nipa (Bhuktaman, etc) and ---
Abhira-gupta (Bhaumagupta, Jishnugupta, etc) as branches of abhira] are also mentioned in Raghuvansham of Kalidasa which Cunningham neglects as shudra rulers before Jadons come back to Mathura.
"Abhiras of Rajputana" mentioned in several puranas for attack on Gujarat. Not only this but inscription of Sri-purusadatta also mentions Abhiras of Rajputana. Image
How do these Abhiras of Nepal, Deccan and Mathura connect? Harihara worshipping.
Ahichchathra of Raja Adi Ahir (mentioned in Cunningham's survey as well), Abhiras of Rajputana (most probably kosaliya) and others in the thread below. ImageImage

There are other references of Shakyas inviting Vrishalas to -- Image
Social gatherings even though those were limited to just Brahmins and Kshatriyas. Here's a good argument. ImageImage
@GarudaJana @PrasunNagar Chandragupta was called Vrishala and in MahaparinivanaSutta, He was told to be of the lineage from Pipphalivana. The question is where Vrishalas were part of Hindu society or not if they were Kula-Hina.

A kid in Indian rural society isn't just raised by his family, but the community. The sense of community is so much in the child ---
That he treats everyone there as family (whoever he's been allowed to interact with). The interaction is not caused for the accomplishment of purpose but by affection and sense of community among them. It is impossible for individualism to flourish here. Now Rekha, mother of --
