BREAKING: FEDERAL OFFICER SHOT IN DRIVE BY IN DOWNTOWN PHX
If you didn’t think it could happen here, it just did. A federal officer was just shot in front of the Sandra Day O’Connor federal building in a drive by attack.
Multiple shots were fired at the officer who was struck in the vest. Injuries are believed to be non life threatening. Make no mistake, this is a direct result of the extremist anti-police attacks we have seen from BLM and Antifa across the country. This insanity needs to stop.
This is all the information I have at this time. I will update you as soon as I learn more.
Update: The victim is a full deputized US Marshall working at the Federal Courthouse. He was transported to a local hospital, non life threatening injuries. He was able to return fire at the suspects vehicle. Officers are continuing to look for the suspect in the area.
UPDATE: For the safety of our officers & the public, PHX PD will now be moving to two-person patrols. I've encouraged this for many years, while also pushing to hire more officers. Without hiring more officers, this will significantly reduce the number of patrols on the streets.
Please pray for our officers in Phoenix and across the country.

I have a source who has contacted me & stated that the shooter from yesterday's incident at the federal court house in downtown PHX was a declared BLM supporter who deliberately set out to kill a police officer - an attempted copycat of the deadly ambush on LA Sheriff's deputies.
In addition, I have been told that the original target was the main PHXPD HQ, which is across the street very close to the court house. This guy set out to kill a cop, and the only reason he didn't succeed was the federal security guard he ended up shooting was wearing body armor
This isn't an attack just on law enforcement but every single citizen residing in Phoenix, and is a direct result of fringe groups able to manipulate and control various aspects of our government and media.
Think we have enough police officers on our streets in Phoenix? Think again.
For years the council has been underfunding & understaffing our police dept in order to make room for their senseless pet projects like light rail expansion. They throw taxpayer money out the window when it should be dedicated to critical services like protecting our citizens.
Even with our current hiring, we will be over 150 officers short of where we were before the recession, and a THOUSAND OFFICERS SHORT of where we need to be now with our continued population growth.
