Anti and pro-Trump protests are beginning here in Philly. The protests are not allowed into the park, one officer said. Tons of police surveying the scene
A woman in a Trump mask stands in front of some pro-Trump protesters and runs the American flag through the inside of her underwear:
Some officers just arrived in an attempt to separate the two groups of protesters. There’s still more and more people arriving
As more people arrive, police seem to be trying to move the pro-Trump protesters behind a barricade to separate the groups. It’s around 5:15pm here in Philly.
A pro and anti-Trump protester duo are having a spirited but civil disagreement from across the barrier. Some people try to drown them out/interfere, but the anti-Trump protester motions for them to remain quiet.
More people continue to arrive, it’s a little after 6pm in PA:
This pro-Trump woman said she’s an immigrant and became a US citizen in 2016.

The talk started off hostile between anti-Trump protesters, became civil and quickly ended as a protester began to shout into a megaphone over their conversation.
A pro-Trump protester got her hat stolen as she was near the barrier (she eventually got it back). One of the police officers asked other protesters to get it back if possible:
There are a few groups of protests out here; they seem to sort of be hugging the corners of the protest area. More officers have arrived and are lined up with bikes
Anti-Trump protesters are getting together to march. Potential first stop: City Hall
Marching out here in Philly
Protesters take a knee and are holding an intersection just next to City Hall in Philly
The crowd is marching through traffic around the city, which is now at a standstill
The crowd stopped in a park for a vigil of sorts. Still peaceful, but now there’s a disagreement about what to do next
Protesters are disagreeing about whether to march, disperse, shut down streets etc:
A small group (bigger than it looks though, it’s kind of stretched out) is currently marching towards the highway
Protesters head down the ramp towards the highway to try and block traffic in Philly
Some people try to stop a police car from going down the ramp. They let him pass after he says over a speaker that he’s trying to get down to the highway to stop traffic so no one gets run over
The crowd just got separated because police with bikes blocked the ramp (and therefore some of the protesters). They quickly decided to abandon their plan to block the highway
Tonight’s protest has fizzled our pretty early compared to many of the past events.

All that remains are some people dancing around at this “Jubilee 2020” tent — which was going on throughout today’s entire protest, BTW
(This tent was easily my favorite part of the night.) They stayed in their own world the entire time, just dancing around like there was absolutely nothing else going on 🤷‍♀️

Decent crowd and lots of media in the park ahead of the Breonna Taylor announcement.

The guy speaking is pushing for a peaceful protest. He says “white man check white man, Black man check black man.”
We’ve just listened to the charges.

Brett Hankison has been charged with 3 counts of wanton endangerment. No charges for the other officers and these are the only charges for Hankison. $15,000 bond:
Here’s how the crowd reacted after hearing these are the only charges brought today + the bond amount. People are angry, sad:

A big chunk of downtown is shut off from vehicles here in Louisville. There’s a march up ahead (not seen in this video) ... spooky vibes
Really low key out here right now, but the tension in this city is high as people wait for the decision to be announced
There’s a memorial of sorts for Breonna Taylor in Jefferson Square. It’s filled with lights, flowers, portraits, messages and more

Out in Lancaster tonight where a small crowd has gathered in front of the police station just before 9pm. A fence (not pictured) has been installed around the building:
This guy just came up to some of the people milling about and told them that officers are scooping people up off the streets “for doing nothing.”

“I will die for anybody that’s out here, just know that,” he added as he told people to stay together.
The guy is now claiming that everyone who was picked up by police has a bail set at one million dollars.

We’ve got a group marching out here in DC this evening. There are a lot of police officers following behind.
We’ve stopped outside a restaurant in DC and people in the crowd are shouting “out of the bar and into the streets” at people sitting outside having dinner/drinks
The crowd is now holding the intersection in front of Le Diplomate and giving speeches (no longer directed at those eating/drinking). A waiter is offering water to the crowd:
