I went to Inis Oirr in the Aran Islands last week. We were pottering around the Plassey ship wreck and out popped the CUTEST kitten ever. We played with him for a while and he followed us, meowing, whenever we put him back down 😭💙
I contemplated on taking him, but there was a local man who was nearby said there were some wild cats in the area, so didn’t want to potentially take him from his mum/litter. A few hours after leaving him had me distraught & feeling incredibly guilty tbh 😩
I was later telling the story to a local lady who then excitedly told me the kitten had been picked up by another tourist (Lenora). They’ve a WhatsApp group for everyone on the island - how bloody cute btw. The kitten had escaped a week earlier and was living in the wild.
Lenora had gotten in touch with the owner and got permission to adopt the kitten. He’s now called Aran 💙Since then, myself and owner have gotten in touch and she’s offered me the role of godfather which I obviously took. 
Aran now lives happily ever after along side their labradoodle and two cute kids 💙
