Our progressive movement is becoming more powerful than ever before, especially in NY. This cycle I got to see @sochiesays leadership and coalition building skills at @NYWFP up close on @JamaalBowmanNY race.
And I was inspired from afar by @nycDSA candidates like @ZohranKMamdani and an electoral organizing strategy that so clearly has changed the game in just a couple of cycles.
It’s an honor to dream and build with them, especially in this moment. Also, @NYWFP shouldn’t even be having to deal with this but @NYGovCuomo can’t handle being challenged #VoteWFPnytimes.com/2020/09/15/nyr…

This is a dangerous precedent for Dem leadership to not weigh in publicly on.
AIPAC is trying to set an example with Summer— if you dare speak out about Palestinian human rights + are young, progressive, and Black you will be crushed. Unless Democratic Party leadership steps in.
AIPAC spent $4mil+ against Summer in the primary, making a mockery of how a fair democratic system should function by jamming the airwaves with disinfo about Summer and Dem leaders barely spoke up about it, paving the way for AIPAC to do as they please. theintercept.com/2022/05/16/pen…
This election isn’t about our feelings. This is about the preservation of democracy, protection of marginalized people and everyone we love that calls America home. We must defeat the rise of fascism in the US and the world is counting on us.
And when we elect @karaforcongress on Nov 3, she will join @JamaalBowmanNY, @CoriBush, and @Marie4Congress in the incoming freshman class that will represent our movement in Congress to hold a Biden administration accountable. Together, we’ll have doubled the squad in two cycles
It doesn’t matter if @JoeBiden likes us or not. What matters is that we put our people in positions of power to force them and every non-urgent elected official to meet this moment
Last year, as progressives launched campaigns to build on the momentum of AOC and Ayanna Pressley's victories, @SpeakerPelosi stood by the @dccc policy to blacklist any organization that worked on primary challenges against incumbent Democrats. huffpost.com/entry/dccc-pro…
For two years, Democratic Party leadership has endorsed incumbents over progressive primary challengers claiming it is their policy to always back incumbents -- even when the incumbent was anti-choice and endorsed by the NRA. texastribune.org/2019/09/29/nan…
But now, when a US Senator champions the Green New Deal while wildfires blanket @SpeakerPelosi home state in smoke, she chooses to endorse a challenger.
This is using your power to undermine next generation Democratic voters and the progressive champions we choose to believe in
“The decision to run was easy. I still saw so many families who were suffering like mine... We showed what is possible when our community invests in ourselves...The only way to defeat fear is with courage and determination” - @JCisnerosTX
“The corporate money and establishment fought back. They saw the hope we built in south Texas.”
“We are going to work to turn Texas blue, up and down the ticket”

Punditry and DC insiders like to say candidates in the ‘center’ like Biden want to win, and those on the ‘left’ or ‘progressives’ want purity. That is not the case.
What the ‘center’ wants is to win by a tiny margin that maintains the status quo, while our progressive movement wants transformative change for this country. And that is what we believe is the key to winning in 2020.
