I'm very troubled by how many people go to the Nazis rather than to very recent American history when commenting on these forced sterilizations.

The official eugenics program in North Carolina ended in 1974, and the state has recently paid reparations.
Connecticut was the first state to officially begin eugenics sterilizations in the 1870s. Other states quickly followed. Sterilizations took place in California until 1979, and in Puerto Rico until the 1970s.
In California, it has continued in prisons to within the decade. 1979 is just when the official eugenics board shut down.
American eugenics programs both predate and outlast Nazi eugenics programs by several decades on each end. Nazi eugenics programs were influenced and inspired by ours.

We should not associate this only with the Nazis.
Not to downplay the scale of Nazi eugenics, which was of course more expansive.
Correction: In NC, sterilizations stopped in 1974, but the eugenics board did not officially dissolve until 1977.

Covid is gonna mean an end to public education in this country.

That's what they're doing right now.

There will be mass resignations, and people will not want to send their kids, and schools will close.
This will happen most quickly and decisively in Southern and other red states which do not allot supplies like sanitizer and PPE to public school systems and which attempt to go back on normal fall schedules.
These regions have already defunded schools to the point that they are barely surviving and teachers live on poverty wages.

These will be the first schools to go.

It's very weird how there's been no collective mourning for all the dead. No television specials honoring them, almost no mention of them, nothing at all.
I understand we can't have funerals, but...

I remember news specials about the Oklahoma City victims, 9/11 victims...

Nothing here.
And no, it wouldn't require a lot of people in a studio to show photos of people over music.

Conduct interviews about their lives over mediums like zoom.

There is just no collective mourning at all. It's horrifying.

Threads like this are important. I don't necessarily agree with OP's assessment about how to "reach" these people, but this is really informative.

It's important because, though we don't like it, people involved in the neo-charismatic New Apostolic Reformation like Paula White have an ear at the highest levels of government.

So translation as to wtf they're talking about is helpful.
It's also not an area in which I'm highly informed.

The NAR is fairly new, and there's very little scholarly research out about it yet. You tend to have to go to their how-to guides on "spiritual warfare" to see what they mean.

So what @profagagne is doing is also very useful.
