In Nigeria a wife is an accessory a husband is a trophy.
-Men are taught to maintain their wives. -Women are taught to do everything possible to acquire a husband.

-Marriage is in the hand of the man and can decide when he can marry his wife.
-Marriage is a tournament where there are tasks she needsto fulfill and hope to win a husband
-His wife is showcased like a fine wrist watch or a new car when he takes care of it well people praise him
-Her husband doesn’t even need to be taken out but hearing she is married there is respect for her. Just like winning the UCL trophy, you don’t need to advertise
-The husband pays for her head and other traditional related items to her family to acquire her

-The wife has to work hard and try to win his attention and Favour from his family, fight off competitors to show she’s the best to acquire him
-Just like when his watch stops working the way he wants it to, instead of trying to fix he is advised to get a new one

-When she sees her trophy going away she is advised to be patient and keep fighting to get it back
