This is a perfect opportunity to learn how to build a knowledge graph using the DBpedia and @SeshatDatabank data. You'll also become a TerminusDB and TerminusHub wizard - TerminusHub is designed to enable researchers to collaborate on large datasets with very complex schema 2/
Built on TerminusDB, the Seshat Global History Databank is a repository of information about polities throughout human history. DBpedia has a large amount of data which is interesting to the Seshat use-case. One of those is information about conflicts.
In the #DBpediaHackathon, we will work together to enrich the Seshat dataset with contextually interesting information from DBpedia. In particular, the Seshat dataset lacks information about historical conflicts which is important in understanding and analyzing historical events
This hackathon session will provide a very practical demonstration of the value of the rich semantic information accessible through DBpedia. Participants will be given tasks in enhancing the semantic information and utilizing the DBpedia data to build a knowledge graph.
There will be prizes for any contribution. For the winner with the most significant contribution, there will be a very special prize. Details will be announced later on our Discord channel (link to join: discord.gg/Gvdqw97)
