Well I opened up Facebook for 25 seconds and stumbled across this gem....
And cuz I’m fascinated by how ridiculous the average person’s thought process is, I read the whole thing
My thoughts below....
I honestly expected this to be satire. Thinking there’s no way someone’s gonna sell people on “eating chips and whipped cream on the couch” is good for you.
Sadly, the title was not clickbait & reflects exactly what it says
Now we have, what the nerds like to call these days, a “Medical Expert”, telling us that we should pay JUST AS MUCH attention to hedonism as our self-control....
Further reason to shun most mainstream “experts” (if you needed any more after these past months)
I will give them this, about 2/3 of the way thru the article, they hedge a bit. Roughly saying, “don’t over do it”
But honestly, do we think 90% read this far? Do we think THIS paragraph will be the takeaway?
I’d guess a very small # out of that 2k that liked this
After hedging, it goes on and ends like this. More of the same “chips and whipped cream on the couch” shit.
Again, your average Soy on FB reading this has one takeaway:
They are perfectly fine living the way they are, on the couch, eating garbage, being lazy.
My biggest issue is that this concept isn’t inherently bad. We often get so focused on grinding that we forget we should be enjoying life.
But I say “We” there, and mean you guys on here. The avg person has the opposite issue, and the avg person is the target audience for this
It’s not bad to do things you enjoy, but how about you don’t use that as an excuse to eat poison and binge watch garbage TV shows.
Go on a hike. Spend some time with your family, bro’s or hoes. Eat a steak. Watch some non-soy entertainment once in a while. Read a book you enjoy.
It’s absolutely evil to conflate self destructive behaviors with beneficial short term pleasures.
Not only does this provide poor examples of enjoyable activity, it mocks hiking and reading.
Guys all in all, reject this shit at every turn. They are constantly trying to poison your mind. Be better than them.
And don’t blindly trust obvious bullshit from “studies” like a frail, pencil-necked cretin
Finally, I KNOW all my Warriors out there are grinding day after day.
If this is you (it fucking should be if you’re following me), then it’s not gonna kill you to enjoy life now and again.
I too get caught up in this state from time to time and won’t let myself relax
If you’re grinding, find some good, wholesome shit you thoroughly enjoy and have some fun now and again.
The world is full of enjoyable things that don’t rot your brain or your body if you know where to look.

Lotta you out there are looking to improve your social & cold reading skills. Analyzing strangers on the spot.
Using the Barnum Effect is IMO the easiest way to instantly improve your cold reading.
I’ll dive into how to use it below
I’ve been fascinated with the human mind for as long as I can remember. Maybe this stemmed from being extremely introverted. Maybe from just the fascination of how things worked.
But I’ve been studying how people think of themselves & how to apply that to interactions for years
I had been considering writing a thread on this for a bit.
And brother @YousXP brought this up the other day which inspired me to put some info out there.
He was talking about astrology and the Barnum effect, which is a phenomenal example.
Sure, many of you know what “The Hero’s Journey” is. Entertained by countless stories of that nature.
But you can take the principles from it to create an extraordinary life for yourself. Face your demons. Become your own hero. Conquer.
What is The Hero’s Journey?
For the unaware, it’s a common narrative template used across many stories thruout humanity. It uses relatively similar aspects across different story arcs.
Normally falling into 3 distinct phases:
- Departure
- Initiation/Revelation
- Return
There’s many specific steps to The Hero’s Journey, but they generally fall into one of those 3 phases.
This’s meant to be applicable, not a lecture on literary structure.
If you want you can google Joesph Campbell’s 17 stages, but my goal is for you to focus on applicability
