"Nine Unknown Men”

This clandestine organization is a secret and elite group of nine great and powerful people

and is said to be established by one of the most significant emperors of India Ashoka

But is it Myth or Fact??

In 1923 Talbot Mundy wrote a novel named “Nine Unknown Men”
Claiming that it was founded by Emperor Ashoka, around 270 B.C. to protect an advanced knowledge that would be a danger for humanity if it fell into the wrong hands

Nine Books of subjects–

*Propaganda: contained techniques of propaganda and psychological warfare
By moulding public opinion can rule world

*Physiology: focused on physiology and explained how to kill a person simply by touching him
It involved reversal of a nerve impulse

*Microbiology: Discussed microbiology and biotechnology. Apparently developed a “divine nectar”

*Alchemy: Dealt with alchemy i.e. transmutation of metals, Claiming that in times of calamities and relief organizations received large quantities of gold from ‘secret source’

*Communication: Study of all means of communication, both terrestrial as well as extra-terrestrial, which means that Nine Unknown Men were aware of latter

*Gravity: Explored secrets of gravitation and contained instructions on how to build an anti-gravity "flying machine"

*Light: Discussed properties of light such as speed and varying to use it as weapon

*Sociology: Rules for evolution of human societies and foretelling their eventual decline. Ways to create, nurture and destroy whole culture or civilization

This story was real and all information he had gathered was from India when he served as an officer of British Police there

Let us take a look into this claim for a moment
He worked in India for just 5 years (from 1899-1904) & he dug out most kept secret

which has been guarded for almost 2000 years, that too by being an outsider to the country

This all seems pretty unrealistic.

But after 37 years, in 1960 Novel ‘The Morning of the Magicians’ by Louis Pauwels and Jacques Bergier, formed a solid base to support the existence

The number ‘9’ has always had a special place throughout Indian history

There are ‘9 celestial influencers’ according to Indian astrology ‘9 universal elements’ according to Hindu philosophy and also most rulers have had a group of 9 intellectual men in their courts

Perhaps some powerful men have always existed throughout Indian history who have been in possession of some greater science to protect India

if someday, it could be proved to really have existed, then it could be the oldest secret organization in the human history.

There’s NO written or any inscribed evidence of their existence

In their defence conspiracy theorists claim that Ashoka had asked these men to collect and record as much information as available and not to let it fall into hands of the public

And to an extent this statement stands historically correct as after death of Ashoka there was no commendable development in science and technology.

But during Gupta or Vijay Nagara empire, we could see some significant spike in scientific temper of subcontinent.

These are some valid questions, but there aren’t any explainable answers to them

Being a conspiracy theory its just supposed to arouse some curiosity, and food for thought.

Till now The secret society of 9 unknown Men of Ashoka remains a Myth unless proven by some facts.
