From The Rise to Skywalker (2018) to Darth Vader #8 (Marvel, Dec 2020): The Eye of Webbish Bog

Kylo Ren was scheduled to meet the guardian of Darth Vader's Wayfinder on Mustafar, but the scene was cut. Thanks to its inclusion in the novelization, it is nevertheless canon.

The idea of a symbiotic creature caught on. The 1st artworkd resonated most with J.J. Abrams.

Neal Scanlan: "So we actually did build it and we took it to a place called Black Park in the UK, which is close to Pinewood Studios, where we shot it in a lake on location, and that sequence exists. Unfortunately it didn’t make it to the movie story, plot-wise, etc.”
