There may be 6+ weeks until Election Day 2020, but early voting in Virginia actually starts today — and there are dozens of voters in line to vote in person even before the building here in Richmond, VA opens
Here’s what it looks like when you go inside to vote in Richmond, VA today:

5 voters are allowed inside at a time. They check that they’re registered to vote, receive their ballot, fill it out and then have it scanned to count. Sanitizing happens in between voters at the booth.

President Biden addressing the nation on the one year anniversary of the Covid pandemic: “While it was different for everyone, we all lost something. A collective suffering, a collective sacrifice, a year filled with the loss of life and the loss of living for all of us."
Biden condemns "vicious hate crimes against Asian-Americans who've been harassed, blamed and scapegoated" for Covid-19.

"It's wrong, it's un-American and it must stop,” he adds.
Biden: "Tonight, I'm announcing that I will direct all states, tribes and territories to make all adults, people 18 and over, eligible to be vaccinated no later than May 1."

.@DrBiden: "..So yes your candidate might be better on, I don’t know, healthcare than Joe is, but you’ve got to look at who’s going to win this election and maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say ok I personally like so and so better but your bottom line has to be that...

I asked @SenGillibrand about this moment today:

“When a woman with a young baby boy, a white woman with a little boy named Alexander, my mind immediately went to my own sons and that they will have a different life than a lot of black and brown young men in this country.
“If my son was ever caught smoking pot with his friends, the likelihood of him being arrested would be far less than any black or brown young man the same age who tried pot for the first time. That's exactly what we're up against and what I wanted to convey to the woman is that..
“yes, she had real struggles and she and her community are struggling deeply. And they don't feel privileged on any level. But what white privilege is about is that our life experiences are so different. As a white woman, I certainly have privilege.
