Sources : Infighting in the ADMK today reached a feverish pitch and took a communal turn owing to which, to buy time, EC meeting has been called on 28th September 2020. A few members of OPS camp pointed out the domination of Gounders in ADMK. 1/n

All the gounder ministers were silent and did not defend EPS.

While OPS supporters like JCT Prabakar, Manoj Pandian were vociferous, OPS supporter KP.Munusamy tried to cool tempers. OPS supporters drew the attention of CM EPS as to why the Steering Committee which 2/n

was promised during the merger of factions has not been formed so far. The explanation given by EPS did not cut much ice with OPS supporters. MP Vaithiyalingam also tried to pacify the situation, but the din continued.3/n

Finally CM EPS cautioned that the infighting would lead to fall of government which would result in most of the Ministers facing cases. Following this, Dy CM OPS, concluded this round of infighting by saying, a decision would be taken in the forthcoming Executive 4/n

Committee meet scheduled for 28th September.

Following the inconclusive round one on 15th August, round two also has ended inconclusive with both sides gaining victory.

Before round three on 28th September, both sides are likely to gear up to flex muscles. 5/5
