Poonboon (later known as Stony Crossing) railway.
Kerang to Murrabit opened 1924. Murrabit to Poonboon NSW 1928. Constructed as part of the Border Railways Act 1922.
Combined rail/road bridge at Gonn Crossing on Murray River was opened on 1 July 1926

First all-steel construction lift span bridge across the Murray and was designed to carry road and rail traffic. Using the winch lifting device one man can lift the span in about 5 minutes. The rail component of the bridge closed in 1943.
