I'll use this thread to tweet some today about the Alamance County Trump Convoy (co-sponsored by the dregs of neo-Confederate hate group ACTBAC & Alamance Cty Young Republicans).

So far the only interesting thing is that the Trump Hate Convoy is attracting some Facebook spammers running video scams. Here are some fellows all abbreviating their names "Md" who claim to be livestreaming on some sketchy site and are filling the comments section.

The FB event page has now attracted an additional scammer, going by Sumon, who is using yet another pastebin-type markdown site to promote ads. Meanwhile the Hate Convoy organizers are too busy lining up their toy trucks to moderate the page. I'm rooting for the scammers, ngl

The Hate Convoy seems to be using the route Elon-interstate-Haw River- Graham. I’m in Elon now to let them know they suck and that Black Lives Matter.

Standing alone on the corner silently holding my sign. They call me by name, yell “white power”, then to my BLM sign: “no they f-big don’t, bitch! Go back home c—t.” This was just a few of the dozens and dozens of vehicles in the Trump Hate Convoy through Alamance County today.

Here’s a different guy yelling “white power”. Alamance racists really turned out today for their hero Trump.

Here’s another yelling “F black lives” while his car is festooned in American flags.

Later the Hate Convoy rolled past the Confederate Participation Trophy in town, and another one called me by name and told me it was “a great day to be a Trump supporter” and that “Confederate Lives Matter”.

These two local confederates hope that maybe I’ll “be hit by a train next- the Trump Train” which is how they’ve harassed my friend and fierce local activist @AylingLindsay, as recently covered by @IanKeithMcDowel here yesweekly.com/news/white-sup…

The constant references to "Antifa" as a slur are pretty common here. Local racists use it as an all-purpose insult, egged on by the county sheriff himself. Here's the sheriff equating "being with Antifa" (what even does that mean) to "breaking the law".

There were at least four local politicians involved in yesterday’s hateful Alamance Convoy for Trump. Pics of Steve Ross, Bill Lashley, Ryan Bowden and Dennis Riddell below.

The local newspaper published this whimsical photo. Unfortunately, they missed the fact that the woman in the photo was actually driving the truck with the guys yelling “white power” and making a Nazi salute. 🤷‍♀️ Here’s the video:
