but not Hinduism. Why?
The truth is that when your context is Abrahamic, you will only give credence to the "one god" of the "one book" or the "one guru" faiths. Anything that deviates from that footprint, seems strange, weird, odd - in short PAGAN.

So, at best, it's

bound to be mocked, at worst - annihilated (culturally, linguistically...).
That's why Yoga is appropriated without giving credit to its source (Hinduism).
That's why folks talk of Ayurveda, but there's no mention of its Hindu roots.

So?

So the onus is on us.

Do we wait until the west "accepts" us. Do we beg for validation?

Or do we create our own context? Do we say this is who we are? Take it or leave it?
