Outputted my old photo work to DOS's CGA composite mode, recorded with a capture card!
The S-Video output shows the raw data the computer is actually drawing: a black and white image. On composite, the pixels blend horizontally along NTSC's colorburst signal, producing colors from a monochrome image.
DOSBox thankfully supports very accurate CGA composite emulation, so no need to hunt for a 1981 CGA card on for IBM AT or 5150 computers
