As a new creation, God gave us his Spirit to dwell in us and lead us through life. A proof of your sonship is the ability to be led by the Holy Spirit (Rom 8:14).

enquire from the Holy Spirit within you what to do and when. For a Christian, new testament prophets are secondary /confirmatory sources not the primary.
But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock,
he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. They won't follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don't know his voice."

However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived"— the things God has prepared for those who love him— these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
