The Integral corollary to this, a thread:

1/ An argument with the Red/Opportunist mind is over when one of us is knocked unconscious.
2/ It’s impossible to win an argument with the Amber/Conforming mind because cults have beliefs, not arguments.
3/ It’s hard to win an argument with the Orange/Self-Determining mind, but it’s doable with enough data and rationale.
4/ Arguments with the Green/Self-Inquiring mind slide into multiplicity of meaning, becoming tours of intersubjectivity. Not something that can be won.
5/ Arguments with the Teal/Integral mind are quite easy, as everyone is right and all arguments have partial truth. Narrowing the context enough & matching to the right truths is the hard part.
6/ The Turquoise/Alchemist mind: the universe is an argument with itself, and there’s no one there to argue.
7/ An argument with the Indigo/Unitive mind is impossible because they’re more interested in tending to the marinade for tonight’s brisket barbecue.

1/ Don’t miss the forest for trees on Ukraine: Trump’s “strategy” is serving himself via Heroic Strongman Win. Seriously.

But, as the actual problem is far more complex than he is, only way to solve it is to use full US power to FORCE simplicity. That means Ukraine submission.
2/ Domination is Trump’s only playbook. It makes him exceedingly simple to read, and incredibly ineffective in a world of plural interests & other sources of power. Hence EOs rather than laws, threats rather than requests, enemies rather than citizens, lies rather than truths.
3/ His single strategy reflects his limited sight. He can only read superficial levels of material strength & weakness, bc he can’t read the deeper, steel-like strengths of moral resolve, clarity of purpose or network cohesion; these are literally invisible objects.

1/ The Big Picture Mind: What Every Elite is Missing

Big Pictures are holistic, integrative, self-consistent systems of thought that when combined represent the broadest and deepest philosophical worldview available to humanity today.

Big Pictures liberate. By building a mind capable of seeing what’s really happening, you have more freedom, more understanding, and feel at home in the world no matter how chaotic it seems.

I recently did a live event to provide what I hope will be one of the Biggest Picture views of what’s happening in 2025 available anywhere in the world.

This thread clips the video for easily digestible chunks and explains each piece along the way.
2/ I have an explicit goal: to help anyone build a Big Picture Mind (BPM).

Especially Zoomers, who deserve this knowledge now while it can still make a huge difference in their lives. As BPMs take years to build, you have the opportunity to start the journey and achieve it earlier than prior generations. And the world needs you to do so if we’re to get out of the mess we’ve made.

Also, a BPM is the foundation of the best life possible. I’m older and a bit weary so I won’t sugar coat the truth.

So listen. Take this seriously.
3/ You’re being misled almost universally by smaller minds who think their small pictures are a Big Picture.

This is (mostly) unintentional, they just haven’t built a Big Picture Mind yet, which is technically called the Metasystematic stage of cognition.

(It can grow bigger: Paradigmatic, Cross-Paradigmatic, and Meta-cross-paradigmatic mind; I use BPM as a catchall for all four stages. Anyway these are the most advanced stages of human cognition today.)

How American Got Here... Thinking of new Complex Systems lens for , here's a graphic explainer I created for how the shape of the national socioculture changed to give rise to a totally new system "regime" between 1970 and 2020.

TLDR: specific decisions & policies each contributed in specific ways to polarized fracture of social contract between educated, liberal (small-l) winners of globalization and traditional white working class

P.S. In case anyone is wondering, I struggled in that small space with how to demonstrate the seeming paradox between the social discord and protest riots of 1968 with the "stable, civil society" I start with in 1970. The basic idea is that even though the values of the nation were highly-contested, and in a liminal space between FDR's progressivism and Reagan's neoliberalism, there was still a more-or-less unified normative space that allowed for the contest to be assimilated through mostly-normal political processes—hence the system regime is stable even if the surface conditions were volatile. This has changed and we no longer have a shared concurrence on the legitimacy or commitment to our underlying democratic governance model, and so we are/have entered a new system regime.
Here's the timeline detail.

1970: Nixon Shock enables 50 yr inflation & wealth inequality. By taking the US off the gold standard, the USD and UST could recycle foreign surpluses into domestic twin deficits that lowered real interest rates and took US financial assets & elites to the moon.

1/ This becomes more likely by the day, & obviously it puts the US in a bind. NATO wiping out Russian military in reply is doable, but then it likely escalates to strategic nuclear war. Which is why from day one I said this thing ends in a cloud or a coup.
2/ If RU does so, the global opprobrium would be severe, & they’d lose China & anyone else who otherwise wanted to stay in RU’s ideological camp. It would instantly turn Russia into N Korea, which is the most apt model of where Putin is taking Russia anyway.
3/ Bc nuke = instant loss in every way that actually counts for Russia’s long-term ambition, one reply could simply be “when your enemy is digging their grave, don’t get in their way”… don’t do anything. Keep supporting UKR to beat them on the battlefield, & don’t take the bait.

Perspectives, by ontological necessity, discriminate. From discriminatio, Latin, to divide or separate, and in archaic use “to make distinctions”. Given that there are no non-discriminatory perspectives in the universe, of course their participation is discriminatory.
So Q moves to ethical, aesthetic, & functional discernments: what are the formal purposes of sport, the proper boundaries & ethics of competition, & the biological or other preconditions that enable those purposes and boundaries at all? And if the universe is becoming more…
…complex in this domain (sport), that almost always requires a new differentiation to accommodate that complexity. Wrestling has long used weight classes in just this way. Are we heading towards classes based on body type, testosterone levels, muscle mass, lung capacity?
