The wealth transfer during this lockdown/quarantine was not just money, it was data.

An unfathomable amount of data has been transferred to the tech world as a result of us being home, isolated, and most importantly vulnerable.
Think of the range of emotions and responses given in this time of social unrest, political upheaval, economic downturn, personal anxiety...to devices that are always monitoring our actions and responses.
The heads of Tech were all over this pandemic, because they needed massive data to sculpt this new* world they’re architecting. Sneaky bastids.
If there is nothing else we’ve seen in this time, it’s the consolidation of the tech world and the changing of policies on social media. whatever tf is coming *coughVRcough*, is about to give the tech godhead an immense amount of surveillance & control.
Simply put, the best way to predict the future is to build it.

I know we’re dealing with a lot now but look at the FUTURE of law enforcement as well as the budget increases towards upgrading military weaponry.

We’re in a very new era.

Spotify is positioning itself as a media outlet and I hate it. Artists are always used as a gateway to some corporate takeover.
Facebook/Instagram trying to get well meaning, but terrified people to “register to vote this election” is a data grab as well.

Why, after the Cambridge Analytica-gate in 2016*, would we give Facebook any of our voting data?
The GOP & Democrats are given over to corporate power yes,

But every corporate power is given to consumer data, which these online platforms have successfully “harvested”.

I hate to think all the “social” events of this year were engineered for us to ellicit responses for data.
But,

You know...it’s 2020.
While there are laws changing in the corporeal space...there is a virtual space that has no written rules yet.

It’s the digital demiurge if you will.

Yeah, our “country” is corrupt...but remember the point of colonies is to feedback into larger systems.

There is nothing more ubiquitous on this earth than the internet. therefore, therefore the net has to be ubiqiutous.

Enter covid-19.

Do I believe it’s real? Yes.
Do I believe it’s being weaponized against us? Yes.

We’re being extorted in this reality and the next.
Capitalism isn’t dying, it’s expanding.
The same way Africa and the rest of the global south was carved up for its material resources, the digital “space” is being carved up, segmented, and extracted as well.

We are witnessing the underdevelopment of our future.
These platforms were built for the on the guise of “free speech”.

We built this era of products with user generated content... with our free speech.

And they found a way to monetize it.
And sell it back to us.

Wild.
We have been participating in a case study on exploitation.
If any of this is new to you, consider how modern science has built itself up...and who it’s original test subjects were/are.

If it looks like “history is repeating” it’s because the formula/algorithm continues to work and is adjusted for the current times.

Reverse engineer.
People have always been the economy.

Human capital stock & Human Resources.

Really think about those terms for a moment and why someone actually “employs” you.

Now think of the need for you, in a time of autonomous robots & ramped up automation...
I would implore all of us to sit and think about how valueable our communication is...and why we give it away freely.

I’m not Yang Gang, but @AndrewYang had some great points about us not receiving ANYTHING in return for our labor in the form of ideas & insights...via posting
Social media is nothing without our content & presence.

Spotify is nothing without our ear.

Innovation in tech becomes increasingly without our participation.

These folks aren’t smarter than us, they’ve just built something upon our desires.
We’ve seen this before.
Use your mind, pay attention, think of where this is going, and beat them there.
Studying Etymology + poetry + human coginition will change the way you view things.

Make a habit of tracing things back to their origin.
Words matter.
If I could recommend three things

Listen to Lupe Fiasco’s “streets on fire” and “the instrumental”.

And read “surveillance capitalism” by Shosana Zuboff.

If you’re interested in dialogue and discourse, my DM is always open.

Everything online is a competition for your attention, because you spend your money on what you know exists. This is why digital redlining is an issue.

E-commerce is a final frontier for one being able to earn their full potential without a master, w/o someone taking a cut.
DSP’s take their cut every month.

For internet & phone service.

PayPal takes 3% on ALL
Transaction fees .

Apple wants 30%.

Spotify “pays” .004 - .006...for every listen you bring in.

Your domain & hosting want their bread upfront at a “discount”.

Etc etc.
This system is unsustainable because our value system is built on competing for fewer and fewer “available” dollars.

Every time your fans lose their job,
You lose potential income.

Every time your fans have an increase in their health insurance, you lose potential income.

Everyone looked at Michael Jackson like he was crazy when he wanted stake in Sony...then he did it.

Everyone looked at Prince like he was crazy for selling his album in the internet...and then he did it.

Everyone looked at Nip like he was crazy for selling his tape for $100..
@JoeBudden you’re not wrong for pushing the envelope.

There’s no such thing as negotiating a better slave contract.

The only way is to kill the masters, hijack the house, and pass the ammo.
Nobody says something is impossible or too much, until black people want to do it. Y’all ain’t learned yet?

Growing up, if you had bread and had a business you wanted lower taxes, which would allow you to expand your business and hire more people (raises etc)

But lower taxes meant less social programs, and everybody doesn’t have it like that.

It comes down to autonomy.
America gave to some and not others and and that’s where we find this divide because of how we’ve developed along the class strata.

Every city isnt built the same, the northeast is not like the black belt of the south, so we’re going to develop differently as a people.
There are some who think breaking bread with their people via hiring them is the way to economic prosperity in the long run...

And those that think a strong social welfare in the mean time is the best way to go.

Either way, neither party cares about YOU in particular.

Jesus was rebranded in America to be like Arnold Schwarzenegger in order to appeal to men who saw the church, prayer, and worship as feminine.

Jesus is less like a lamb...and more of the lion according to them.

What happened?
An old pastor told me

“For many households, if you get the man, you get the family. If you change the man, you change the family. Men are the destructive force in our society, therefore it is them we must work on reforming.”

How has this played in today’s world you ask?
Men feeling like they need to “be like Jesus” and restore Law and Order, because they feel they are personally commissioned by God to do so.

Not preach.
But influence, whatever form that takes place.

A lot gets justified in the name of God that way, as history has proven.

Democrats are actively working to suppress the vote of the @GreenPartyUS, and not enough people are talking about it.
Bernie admitting that he didn’t want to end up like @RalphNader...after being blamed by the Democrats for 2016, made me look at Nader’s politics...which are the ACTUAL platforms that @BernieSanders ran on...in part. @AngelaNWalker & @HowieHawkins are now carrying that forward.
When @BernieSanders kept taking Joe Biden’s side...but not @ninaturner it was at that moment I felt he preferred allegiance to the democrats to oust Trump...rather than speak on the @GreenPartyUS. If we’re gonna be about policy...we need to be about that.

I wish people cared as much about the sciences as they do about the Bible.
The Bible teaches that humankind is both nothing, and worthy of compassion.

Therefore, many Christians are split between treating mankind like nothing and worthy of compassion.

It’s a bifurcation of the psyche.

Which creates the passivity towards injustice we see today.
If you believe

- God is going to solve everything
- He’s going to do it in His timing
- Nothing happens that God didn’t order
- God is not the author of confusion
- God sets up all authority
- You have to vote your faith
- sin is because of man
- blessings are because of God
