/10 .@DHS_Wolf As promised, here are 4 more questions I would ask you at your confirmation hearing had I been invited. Feel free to answer in the comments below. I'm still waiting for answers to yesterday's questions. I will attach in this thread in case you missed them...
/10 1. April through July you expelled 84,000 Mexicans under Title 42 (CDC order). BUT, Mexico only reports receiving 46,200 under the US repatriation agreement with Mexico. That is a GAP of almost 38,000. If we est. the full pandemic, the GAP is 52,000 people....
/10....Where did 52,000 people disappear to? Or, are we not expelling under the repatriation agreement for Title 42? If not, is there a formal agreement? What is the agreement with Mexico to ensure documentation and humanitarian treatment? Is it available? If not, why not?
/10 13 March through August, there have been over 1,000 ICE Air domestic flights not tied directly to a deportation. 10s of thousands of transfers spreading COVID to detainees, staff and communities. Do you have specific reasons at an individual level for each transfer? .....
/10.......Summarize the top 5 reasons for these transfers, and the number of transfers by reason. Do you have all this information available (summary and detail)? If so can you provide it? If not why not? Do you understand the risk to life you have set in motion? Do you care?
/10 13 March through August there have been over 350 likely ICE Air deportations to Latin Am. and the Caribbean. Over 11 countries received deportees + for COVID. Do you think these countries are at risk from this exportation? Why do you not test all deportees pre-flight? ...
/10...Testing was required by Guatemala starting 26 April. BUT at least 208 deportees tested + on return since that time, 43 in Aug through 7 Sept alone. Have you ever considered a moratorium on deportations during COVID on humanitarian grounds? If not why not? What other....
/10.....countries require pre-flight testing? How many people have you deported in total since 13 March that have tested + for COVID upon return, by country? If you don't know? why not? Do you care?
/10 Mexico asked for an investigation into the humanitarian care you provide in detention centers. The Foreign Ministry in Guatemala said they allowed increased deportations because of the risk to their nationals with extended stays in ICE detention centers. In other words....
/10....the risk of importing COVID is less than the risk in ICE detention centers. Do you consider this an indictment of the humanitarian care in ICE detention centers, along w/all the documented cases in the press? If not, how do you see it? Do you think there is a problem?
