built a year after the construction of the will rogers turnpike, this mcdonald's has a unique "glasshouse" design. both a mcdonald's and a phillips 66 gas station occupy this large building, which spans all of the turnpike's lanes. it has been dubbed the "mcoverpass" by locals.
*despite its naming and continued use of the title, this is not the world's largest mcdonald's. it has been surpassed in square footage several times since its construction, by locations including the epic mcdonald's in orlando, fl, and the 2012 london olympics mcdonald's.
