Time for a thread ππ
If you're a bootstrapped business owner or co-founder, you are quite familiar with humble beginnings and bootstrapping your business to greatness. No matter how great your startup ideas are you'll face stormy skies, rough roads, flash floods, obstinate obstacles,
and real rejection during your quest to grow your company. While the challenges are inevitable, how you react to obstacles and rejection in business is what really counts.
We've all heard of the rags to riches stories that so many entrepreneurs have lived to tell about...
if they're lucky & incredibly persistent. Some have lived in their cars and others have maxed out a dozen credit cards just to give themselves a shot at business success. Here is the story of 1 incredible and motivating business success that plowed through obstacles rejections.
Jamie Siminoff of Ring
Just because a product or business isn't purchased on Shark Tank by one of the cut-throat investors, doesn't mean it's destined to fail. Copa Di Vino comes to mind after two "failed" pitches on Shark Tank but now enjoying $10+ million in annual sales.
But nothing is quite as impressive as Jamie Siminoff's company @ring (originally called DoorBot). This smart doorbell with audio and video options was pitched at $700,000 for 30% of the company and it was rejected by the sharks at that valuation.
A NO is just a lack of belief
But Siminoff stayed strong, didn't give up, and leveraged the exposure from Shark Tank, growing product sales to millions of dollars per year. Just this year Amazon acquired Ring for between $1.2 and $1.8 BILLION dollars! This goes to show that determination breeds success.
Now, @Ring has people like @SHAQ promoting their brand and believing in their business.
You just need to find the people who believe in your vision...The rest who do not believe are just never going to be a part of your journey and that is okay...

All right, story time. On a flight from LA to Chicago a woman in her late 60s or 70s berates a guy sitting in the window seat wearing a make America great again T-shirt. The guy says nothing to her. I finally call the flight attendant to stop the situation from escalating.
Flight attendant explains to the woman at her behavior is beyond acceptable. After asking her to stop numerous times, she asked the woman to grab her belongings and come with her. Itβs at this moment the woman realizes she went to far.
She starts complaining that sheβs not going to get up and move from her seat as she paid for. The flight attendant gets the captain who now explains to her that she has no choice. She then tells the captain, her husbandβs mother died.

This lady is a great example of why customer service is lost in the banking industry.
This old lady handed her bank card to the teller and said βI would like to withdraw $10β. The teller told her βfor withdrawals less than $100, please use the ATM.
The old lady wanted to know why... The teller returned her bank card and irritably told her βthese are the rules, please leave if there is no further matter. There is a line of customers behind youβ.
