Mandatory training is a red herring that will not touch the careless, almost pedestrian dismissal of certain people as not really human. #YewTrees
The layers of failing here are so intense, and what people must have experienced so unimaginable, my head is tense aching.
“Through review of CCTV we witnessed abusive, disrespectful, intimidating, aggressive and inappropriate behaviour.”
The consistency (and endurance) of these bullying and abusive management cliques forming in these hell holes demands action. Fuckers.
Staff lacked integrity and not one raised concerns. Going into work on a daily basis over weeks, months and years. How is this possible?
Why does it take only certain people like Mr Pantiledes (Ely Hospital) and Terry Bryan (Winterbourne View) to recognise and act on abuse?
“Staff responsible for recruiting new staff did not always ask all questions at interview...” Oh my. What fucking state of ‘care’ do we have in this country?
Easy access to abuse, torment, degrade and destroy people’s lives. People who have no power to do anything about it.
Areas of improvement... everything. Shut it down now. [end]

A short thread about an Uber driver who picked me up from the @PHMMcr exhibition tonight. [Can't get him out of my head.] 1.
There was a bit of confusion and we ended up with two extra Deaf passengers who were going in a kind of similar direction. 2.
The driver said that they weren’t allowed to pick up people without bookings, so they try and find a black cab or occasionally give the person a lift as 'a friend'. 3.
Well the exhibition is stunning. Superb work @PHMMcr and thank you @Aliswilde for thinking of the #JusticeforLB quilt. Close enough to see every detail.
