- Trump refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses the election.
- Said the quiet part out loud (again) that he expects the election to be decided by SCOTUS and that why it’s important to have 9 Justices 1/4
The analysis that people are missing is that he’s not preparing to contest a *close* election. He’s preparing to lose big and allege voter fraud on an unbelievable scale.
His demented, narcissistic brain is unable to grasp the fact that people really don’t like him. 2/4
The SCOTUS argument doesn’t really hold water, though. Justices aren’t beholden to the POTUS who appoints them.
Not many judges in America will buy the argument that millions of people committed voter fraud when Trump already lost the popular vote by 3 million in 2016. 3/4
Regardless, we have to be ready to fight this. He’ll burn the whole system down if we let him.
Let’s not let him. You should be planning for massive protests now. If he tries to steal the election, we’re going to shut DC down, and we aren’t leaving until he does. (End)

There have been several important developments related to Israel in the last 24 hours.
Biden and Netanyahu spoke for the first time in a long time, and all accounts of the conversation suggest it was tense.
Biden gave Bibi an ultimatum:
Protect civilians, or else.
He told Netanyahu that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is unacceptable, and that future aid was conditioned on the US seeing an immediate — and marked — improvement.
Within hours, Israel announced the opening of the Erez border crossing for the first time since October 7. They also announced the Ashdod port would be used for humanitarian aid, and that increased Jordanian aid would flow through Kerem Shalom, a crossing in southern Israel.
“The Palestinian people deserve a state of their own and a future free from Hamas. I, too, am heartbroken by the images out of Gaza and the deaths of many thousands of civilians, including children. Palestinian children are crying for lost parents.”
“Our goal should not be simply to stop the war for today — it should be to end the war forever, break the cycle of unceasing violence, and build something stronger in Gaza and across the Middle East so that history does not keep repeating itself.”
One, Russia has already lost several (4+) S-400 air defense systems in Ukraine *this week* and they’re (according to UK intelligence) already being forced to reduce air defense coverage in other areas in order to meet their basic needs. 1/X
Two, the Pantsir-S1 system that Wagner is reportedly preparing to send to Hezbollah is primarily a close-in air defense system, with a maximum engagement range of around 12 miles. This is woefully inadequate for defending against just about anything Israel has to offer. 2/X
The Israeli Air Force (IAF) employs Wild Weasel units similar to the United States Air Force. These units specialize in the Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD) mission set, and they’re quite good at what they do. 3/X
“The scenes include a Hamas fighter standing on a dead man and continuing to fire into the body at close range. They show Hamas members arguing over who gets to attempt to decapitate a Thai laborer with a garden hoe, shouting, “Allahu akbar” with each swing.”
“The panicked father carries one child while the other two run behind him through the living room. They make it to the home’s bomb shelter, launching his sons in first. Seconds later, Hamas members throw a grenade into the entryway, killing the father instantly”
