Spring Vale Cemetery railway branched from the Dandenong line just past (down) Spring Vale station. Was ~ 1.2 miles (1.9 km) in length. Opened 1904 closed officially 1951. Sparked 1922.
Spring Vale was changed to Springvale 1955.
The 1939 suburban timetable showed one return
trip being made on Sundays.

In June 1952 the line was dismantled. The Sandown Park racecourse and raceway now occupies part of the right
