In fact, 799 new COVID-19 cases in a single day is the highest single day spike since August 7.
42,299 tests were samples in 24 hours in Pakistan on September 23, the highest to date.

The country's total capacity is 72,232 (data via NCOC)

Sindh conducted the most number of tests in a single day - 18,360.
Positivity rate in major cities/districts of Pakistan on September 22 (as per WHO)

Higher positivity percentage in Mirpur, Gilgit and Quetta in the last 24 hours.

Definition of “assets” tweaked. Now includes property owned by candidates and "spouses and dependent children".

Definition of “technocrat” also tweaked. Now a technocrat must have at least 20 years of experience at international and national level “post qualification”.
Bill 2023 states that if the presiding officer, due to connectivity issues, cannot send the results electronically, he/she shall proceed physically with the results to the Returning Officer.

Funds amounting to $2,121,500 were transferred from a Dubai-based company by Arif Naqvi into PTI’s account.

The PTI “knowingly received donations from a company which was being operated by a business tycoon who was involved in criminal fraud,” states the ECP.
Regarding the funds from Arif Naqvi, the ECP further states that it gave the PTI“ample time”, from 2018 to 2021, to make a disclosure.

A short thread regarding adding the oath of Khatam-e-Nabuwat in the nikahnama in Punjab.

I wrote about it for BBC Urdu in December.
In October, Punjab Assembly passed a resolution, unanimously, to add a Khatam-e-Nabuwwat column in the marriage certificate.

The resolution was moved by lawmakers from PML-Q and the PML-N.

The lawmakers said the speaker Punjab assembly supported the resolution.
Those who moved the resolution claimed that the assembly had been receiving complaints from Muslims being cheated by Ahmadis into getting married.

They insisted the record was with the Punjab assembly.

But the Punjab assembly could not provide the record of the complaints.
