@Hadithoftheday Dates.
Narrated Anas ibn Maalik R.A, The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to break his fast with fresh dates before praying. If there were no fresh dates, then with dried dates,& if there were no dried dates, then with a few sips of water

Narrated by Ahmad (12265); Abu Dawood, 2356
@Hadithoftheday Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “When any one of you breaks his fast, let him break his fast with dates for that is a blessing; if there are no dates then with water, for that is a means of purification.” - Narrated by Tirmidhi, 658.
@Hadithoftheday It was narrated that Anas R.A said: When the Prophet ﷺ broke his fast, he would start with dates.
Limiting oneself to date & water when breaking the fast is very beneficial, as it introduces food into the stomach gradually,so that it will be prepared to receive food after that.
@Hadithoftheday The fact that the Prophet ﷺ broke his fast with fresh or dried dates or water is very beneficial to the health,as fasting empties the stomach of food & there is no nourishment to be sent to the different parts of the body. Sweet foods are quickest to be absorbed and processed.
@Hadithoftheday Allah provided Isa A.S's mother Maryam A.S with fresh dates when she was experiencing discomfort and pain during the final stages of her pregnancy.
Allah says in Qur'an:
“Shake the trunk of the palm toward you and fresh,ripe dates will drop down onto you.”(Surah Maryam: verse 25)
@Hadithoftheday The Prophet ﷺ stressed the importance of dates as a major food item, saying, “People in a house without dates are in a state of hunger.” (Muslim)
@Hadithoftheday There is a special kind of "Date" called as "Ajwah Date". Ajwah is one of the excellent varieties of dates.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: Ajwah dates are from Paradise.” (Tirmidhi)
@Hadithoftheday Narrated Sa`d R.A:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "He who eats seven 'Ajwa dates every morning, will not be affected by poison or magic on the day he eats them." (Bukhari)

Anas Ibn Malik R.A had a younger brother who was called "Abu 'Umair" by nickname (kunyah).
Abu Umair had a nughayr (a kind of bird or sparrow) which he played with and it died.

When Prophet Muhammad ﷺ heard about it, he sat with Abu Umair, for a long time, consoling the boy over the death of his bird!
Anas bin Malik R.A narrates:
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to come to visit us. I had a younger brother who was called Abu ‘Umair by nickname (kunyah).
He had a sparrow which he played with, but it died.
So one day the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came to see him and saw him grieving.

One of the important events that occurred in the month of Muharram was the Battle of Karbala.
This battle is one of the most memorable battles for Muslims.

Hussain (R.A) and his companions’ courage against oppression have become an example for Muslims who experience oppression to take a step toward fighting against any form of oppression.
The battle of Karbala took place on 10 Muharram 61 AH at Karbala, precisely near the Euphrates River, or the area now known as Iraq.

The 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah is the Day of Arafah. Arafah was the day on which Allah perfected His religion, completed His favours upon His beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, & approved Islam as a way of life
There is no other day like it (Arafah) in the whole year.

The Prophet ﷺ said, 'There is no day on which Allah frees people from the Fire more so than on the Day of ‘Arafah. Indeed, He draws near and then boasts of them to the angels then says, “What do these want?“' [Muslim]
It is when the religion of Islam was perfected.
Allah says in Qur'an:
Today I have perfected for you your religion and completed upon you My blessing and I have chosen for you Islam as [your] religion” (5:3)
This verse was revealed on the day of Arafah.
