🚨Flynn update - Interview 302 from FBI Agent William Barnett

"BARNETT believed the prosecution of FLYNN by SCO (Team Mueller) was used as a means to 'get Trump'"

Thread. Image
Agent Barnett was assigned to Crossfire Razor (the Flynn counter-intel investigation).

Barnett was later assigned to the Special Counsel team.

Barnett: the predication for the Flynn investigation was "not great" Image
Crossfire Hurricane source (likely Halper) accused Flynn of leaving a 2014 event with an undisclosed person.

Perhaps @RealSLokhova

FBI assessed this information to be not accurate Image
The Flynn (Razor) investigation lingered - leadership didn't ask Barnett to do much on it.

FBI agent Barnett didn't see the point of the Flynn investigation.

Another agent thought it was "an exercise in futility" Image
As the Flynn investigation wound down, Agent Barnett suggested interviewing Flynn and closing the case.

The request for the interview was denied.

"there was nothing left to do in the case" ImageImage
Late December 2016 - Strzok orders the Flynn case closed

1/4/2017 - Strzok tells Barnett to keep the Flynn case open

The Flynn case wasn't kept open for the broader Russia investigation - it was due to a Logan Act violation that Barnett thought was questionable. ImageImage
Agent Barnett: the Flynn case "was 'top down,' meaning direction concerning the investigation was coming from senior officials.

The intensity of the FBI leadership Flynn investigation was spurred by the leak of the Flynn/Kislyak call. Image
FBI Agent Barnett had been on the Flynn case since the beginning.

He was not notified of the FBI's 1/24/17 interview of Flynn.

Barnett believes he was "cut out" of the interview. Image
How abusive was the Flynn investigation?

It was so bad that Agent Barnett told his boss he wanted off the cases.

"Barnett believed the [Flynn] investigation was problematic and could result in an IG investigation" Image
Wow -

Kevin Clinesmith (charged for falsifying docs) was involved in the Flynn National Security Letters (NSL).

This curious quote:

"Barnett thought at the time the NSLs were legally justified" 🤔 Image
Barnett briefed Special Counsel Rhee on the Flynn case.

He told Rhee there was "no evidence of a crime."

Barnett believed Rhee "had an agenda" and told her they wouldn't be working together. Image
A dig at Andrew Weissmann:

Weissmann was convinced there was "proof of collusion, quid pro quo" from a meeting on a yacht near Greece.

Within a day or two the information was not substantiated. Image
This was a DOJ submission to the Court.

We have internal CDC reports on vaccine "misinformation" -

The agency conducted a "social listening" program that focused on "Anti-Vax" keywords like "Medical freedom" and "personal choice"

And it flagged offending social media users.

The CDC report on TikTok "Misinformation Trends" included:

A TikTok user who "promoted COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy by saying there's now way to know who is spreading COVID-19, vaccinated or unvaccinated."

The CDC knew that information was true.
Around that same time, the CDC "misinformation trends" kept tabs on accurate statements about Omicron.

This user's "misinformation"?

Diminishing "the threat of the omicron variant" and criticizing the Democrats.

That account was suspended...

The Danchenko transcripts -

Mueller Special Counsel denied its analysts' requests to interview Democrat Charles Dolan - a "source" of the Steele Dossier.

By doing so, Team Mueller prevented an inquiry that would have revealed its lies to the FISA Court.

"We had been instructed at the [Mueller] SCO not to take further action on the matter involving Mr. Dolan and Mr. Danchenko's relationship."

A formal request to interview Dolan was submitted to a Mueller SCO FBI supervisor.

The request "sat for approximately three or four weeks."

She was told by her supervisor "it was not going to be opened."

This is something -

That data Michael Sussmann passed to the CIA in 2017?

The CIA concluded it was not "technically plausible" and was "user created and not machine/tool generated"

[Thread on latest Durham filing] Image
Durham has granted immunity to "Researcher-2" - identified as David Dagon.

Dagon raised concerns to Sussmann that the Trump data "was being unlawfully collected and used"

As we predicted here:

There's more. It's big.

Trial immunity is granted to Christopher Steele.

The issue: Whether Sussmann was "was acting on behalf of the Clinton Campaign when he assembled and conveyed the Russian Bank-1 allegations"

Whew. ImageImage

Look closer at Durham's indictment of Michael Sussmann -

There lurks potential charges against the Alfa Bank research group for using classified gov't data for their own political operation.
Durham sets the background by discussing a gov't contract where the researchers would receive classified data -

"in order to identify the perpetrators of malicious cyber-attacks and protect U.S. national security." Image
Durham continues -

the researchers "exploited" this data - which was provided to enable them to "protect U.S. networks" - to conduct their own political research. Image

We are live for the Kevin Clinesmith sentencing hearing.

Clinesmith is charged with altering an email - falsifying a document - in an effort to get the 4th Carter Page FISA warrant.

Judge Boasberg has entered the hearing.

Follow this thread for updates. Image
Judge starts by hearing from Carter Page:

The national media accused me of being "an agent of a foreign power"

I've been harassed in person.

"I know what it's like for your life to be destroyed"
Carter Page:

I first collaborated with the CIA while in the military. I never betrayed that trust.

My life "spun out of control" due to the false allegations.

I had "no privacy" - everything was monitored by the gov't

They physically searched my belongings and hotel room.

Edward Snowden exposed the worst 4th Amendment violations in US history: the unlawful collection of data on millions of Americans.

His fight was on behalf of the American people.

For that @Snowden deserves a pardon from @realDonaldTrump Image
Recall what Snowden helped expose:

1) The illegal collection of metadata of millions of Americans

2) NSA plans to "Collect it All" and "Exploit it All"

3) Economic espionage and the abuse of private data ImageImageImage
Forget the clichés and talking points of pundits and gov't officials.

Instead, read the source documents hosted by @ggreenwald

They show the scope of domestic surveillance abuses and global US operations.
