Age based discrimination drives me nuts

I might be 23 years old

But I’ve exp’d a hell of a lot for someone my age.

I’ve experienced struggle

I’ve made $30k in a day

I’ve ran a half mill company at 19

I’ve earned a uni degree

I cared for my dying father during all of this
I may not be experienced like you

I may not have the wisdom of someone older

I may not have a family yet

But next time you right off someone based solely on them being “young”

Think again

Some of the smartest people on earth are younger than you.

My rant of the day.

Cheers
By no means am I saying I am smarter or wiser than people older than me

Nor am I saying I’ve been through the most shit ever. Not at all. People go through worse

I am saying you should hear someone out before you judge how old they are

You never know who you are talking to
This also isn’t a “flex”

It is simply truth of my life

So judge me how you wish

Benefits of dead hangs & why you should do them👇
1. What is a dead hang?

Dead hang is fairly self explanatory...

You simply hang from an overhead/pull up bar like dead weight

No reps, pushing or pulling

But Marshal... this sounds stupid

Why is this beneficial?

Let me tell you👇
2. Improves grip strength

Improving grip strength translates to improvement in virtually every other exercise where you.. hold a bar of course

There are lots of "band aid" fixes for grip - gloves, straps, hooks, etc.

But none of these will increase overall strength like hangs

During the holiday season, your food intake goes up

Therefore, we need to raise our activity levels to combat the increase in calories

The more you move, the more you burn, the less fat you'll store

Why it's so important to meal prep/plan

THREAD👇
1. In case you didn't know... 80%+ of your fitness results stem from your diet

This is why it is crucial to have your diet dialled in while training hard

Otherwise, your time and efforts are not optimized

And you're leaving progress on the table that you could be making
2. You know the saying "you can't out train a bad diet"

And this absolutely holds true.

Think of it like this...

It's SO MUCH EASIER to simply not eat 500 calories, than it is to burn off 500 calories via exercise.

Keep this in the back of your mind at all times.

5 reasons why you're not making progress with your fitness

Thread👇
1. Your actions are not aligned with your goals

Many people set goals but never follow through with the required actions to reach them

You can’t do one thing & expect results that don't align with your chosen actions

You must learn daily habits that push towards your goal
2. Procrastination is poison

Many people are all thought, no action

“Oh, ill start a workout program Monday”

No, you start it TODAY

By the time Monday comes, you’ll have already built up momentum to keep going. Starting NOW and failing is STILL better than not starting at all
