@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 1/
I'll take a stab catty, if I get it wrong let me know.
Aged Care is a federal responsibility. Articulated very clearly in the Royal Commission into Aged Care interim report. Which is titled neglect & the word neglect is used 30 times to describe what the LNP are responsible 4
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 2/
Along with the Royal Commission, there is the law and the federal government having all funding for Aged Care (with the exception of state govt owned facilities) all strong hints at who is responsible. But on that topic, both Vic & QLD own some facilities, they both adopted
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 3/
the earlier recommendations to have minimum staffing levels, but they could only legislate for state govt owned places. No deaths in any state govt owned places. BUT
The LNP ignored & ended up with absurd staffing levels (1 for 150 residents in one place on one shift).
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 4/
Then there is the Peter Dutton approved document from August 2019, clearly say Aged Care is federal responsibility. See pic below
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 5/
Then there is the 2 documents Snotty held up in March to show he had a plan. The big green document says it is a federal responsibility many times (See Pic). It also contains the plan for recovery, which has many hand offs and paths and ends up in a dead end (See Pic).
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 6/
Document 2 “Communicable Diseases” warns the reader it may not be ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR CURRENT. What are people meant to do with a document on a life/death pandemic that says it may not be accurate? It got updated 36 times in 6 months with no document control, so ppl had a
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 7/
different versions and it still said that it may not be accurate.
But hey its only a document about a killer virus from the federal government. But don't tell anyone, we don't want all those Murdoch Minions learning some facts.

Speaking of Murdoch Minions, News Corp even has
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 8/
role. The LNP gave a $5.7M contract to a new venture startup that News Corp is an investor in. They were to provide a surge workforce. But because they literally have zero staff, they could not provide anyone at Newmarch.
Imagine giving a contract 4 health staff in a pandemic
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 9/
to a company that had no health care workers.

Then there is the $1.2B in funding to ASPN medical, who were meant to provide staffing and PPE. The PPE went missing, still no one knows where $147,000 👇worth of thermometers are and the gloves for Victoria ended up in NSW
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 10/
Because the LNP appointed buyers of PPE couldnt provide gloves, the staff at some places were asked to use only 1 glove and no masks. I wonder why the transmission rate went up so high 🤔
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 11/
But don't worry about PPE, Gloves or Masks, the money for the advertising got out the door, almost as much money on advertising as was spent on PPE.
The LNP had its priorities right.
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 12/
Speaking of things the LNP didn't do, but it was their job to do. Working and looking overseas for lessons etc. But Snotty wanted to go to the footy. If he had done his job he would've seen horrific tales from Aged Care overseas. In the US the last staff members in one place
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 13/
wrapped up all the dead bodies, then left and then someone made an anonymous call to the police.

Of the thousands of deaths in spainish aged care. Here is a list of some things that should've made the LNP forget the footy. And all well b4 Victorian outbreak.
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 14/
Then there is the LNP's department for auditing and approving aged care facilties, which the LNP have cut in numbers and reduced the "Quality Criteria" from 44 down to 8. They only inspected 39 of 778 facilties and all of those that failed, 100% failed the follow up. But
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 15/
don't worry they sent out a "Self Assessment Survey" and ~30% of aged care facilities didn't fill it out.
To circle back, I think the point is why would Dan resign if it is Snottys responsibility by;
Law
Royal Commission
Funding
Expenditure
Dept to Accredit and Audit

As
@PoliBard @catelizlouise @HbAlpaca 16/
As I said at the start Catty, if I have gone off the track of the point you were making, let me know.

1/ PART 2/2: HOW MANY TIMES HAVE LNP STOPPED DEMOCRACY
A. 74 (not 79 as I previously posted). I've compiled a montage dedicated to LNP’s morally bankrupt version of democracy. I estimated each use of SO-80 uses 7 mins (motion moved, vote, division, & settled down)
#FederalICAC
2/
This means 8+ hrs of time that should be spent debating legislation has been wasted. Approx ~1,000 hours of MP’s time has been wasted.
Another way the LNP wastes $$$ & avoids accountability. Why have parliament if the LNP make a mockery of democratic processes
#BoycottMurdoch Image
3/
Both my Part 1 & Part 2 threads have shown the LNP abusing Standing Order 80 & gagging debate with no concerns they are stopping ~half of Australia’s population being represented in Parliament.

1/ PART 1/2: WHAT THE LNP WONT ALLOW TO BE DEBATED
The LNP have voted more times to stop debate than they have voted on actual legislation.
The sardonic irony of Tony Burke being gagged whilst talking about the gagging of debate is a perfect display of LNPs disdain for democracy
2/
This corruption of democratic process should be front pg news & lead news items. Standing Order 80 (as we know it) was created in 1906 when members had no time limits on speeches. When it was created there was great concern about its potential misuse.
#MurdochRoyalCommission
3/
A story in the Newspaper in 1905 explained the potential abuse. Prime Minister Deakin said reassuringly “that it would rarely be used & not for partisan purposes” Deakin was unable to imagine 115 years later we would have the most corrupt govt in our history.

@Tim_jbo @btamamura @justadavo @mark_perry309 @rachelbaxendale 1/ Sure, why not, I will give you many facts and I am fairly confident will not be aware of any of them as you live in your Murdoch Bubble. I will try to limit the facts to things like the law, government documents, royal commission evidence and information provided to the Senate
@Tim_jbo @btamamura @justadavo @mark_perry309 @rachelbaxendale 2/
Aged Care and Quarantine R both federal responsibilities.
The constitution &;the Bio Security act make that very clear.
The aged care act is very clear.
The LNP’s own pandemic plans say it’s there responsibilities
The LNPs department is responsible for auditing & accrediting
@Tim_jbo @btamamura @justadavo @mark_perry309 @rachelbaxendale 3/
I am giving some important baseline information that will allow you to understand the specific Victorian information
The plan Snotty held out to prove they had a plan even says it may not be accurate, complete or current. Its only a life or death document

@murray_n_dovey 1/
So a Royal Commissions findings that explain why are not good enough for you?
The law & LNP government have all funding for Aged Care.
Except those facilities owned by state government, who had already acted on the earlier recommendation for minimum staffing levels
@murray_n_dovey 2/
So those facilities owned by state government had zero deaths, those facilities completely governed and funded by LNP had the deaths.

But I will continue
@murray_n_dovey 3/
Then there is the Peter Dutton approved document from August 2019, clearly say Aged Care is federal responsibility. See pic below

this will go on for a while, you may need a drink of Kool Aid

1/$10 BILLION DOLLAR BLUDGER
My 6 tweet vent
We’ve all known it for years, News Corp is a cancer on society & a protection racket paid 4 the LNP. This week a minister was described as behaving criminally & a mysterious $30m land purchase+many more.

2/$10 BILLION DOLLAR BLUDGER
News Corp has a $10b dollar value on the ASX. The ASX wouldn't exist w/out us paying taxes & investing 2 make Australia an efficient place 2 conduct business. News Corp are on the corporate dole taking money with no mutual obligations
#BoycottMurdoch
3/ $10 BILLION DOLLAR BLUDGER
On top of cash gifts, News Corp has many indirect subsidies. The 1936 Tax Law gives all sporting clubs (AFL+ NRL) tax exemption,⬇️costs by 10's of millions. These subsidies give its 32K shareholders⬆️dividends than they should get

DOES LYING COST 10 TIMES AS MUCH?
The office of PM&C who gave us the ‘not on holidays' lie & ‘its secret who went to dinner’ is somehow costing us nearly 10 times as much when compared to when Labor were in power.
How? Why?

For anyone doubting the figure (As I did) I grabbed them out of Budget Paper number 2 for each year.
As 2013 was a handover year I excluded it. Image
I am genuinely surprised by these numbers, I would really hope that there is a good explanation for this. Maybe a merging of two offices? Or ? I am keen to know how this is possible
