@BerniceKing @soccermom1517 ... is required to be President or any other government official - separation of church and state. “So help me God” heard after oath sometimes is not required nor is Bible ( FDR was sworn in once without one ) -any book of beliefs may be used or no at all. “Swear” or “affirm” ...
