Taehyung has lost count on the dates he had over the year. He doesn't think it's necessary, he's already bored but his friends insist he should find a partner even if no one fully captures his attention. When he's about to give up, a notification from a stranger changes his mind.

1. Tae has another date even though he doesn't want to go. Jungkook tries to cheer him up and convince him that it's a good idea, that he needs to find someone to be happy. Taehyung isn't so sure about that and knows that another failure awaits him.

2. Not even an hour goes by when Tae decides to end the date. He really finds the boy attractive but every word he says seems boring, empty, as if everything he said was only to seduce him, get him to bed and then get rid of him. Pointless.

3. So he returns home, bored, convinced that this is all a waste of time. He thinks that maybe the problem is him and not others, maybe he is too damaged to love another person again.

4. In order to silence his bad thoughts, he decides to send a message to his friends to distract himself.

5. One night of video games and laughs with his friends was enough to make Tae feel better.
He took the opportunity to tell them that he no longer had the energy to continue with the dating thing, this would be the last, and so they understood and promised not to insist again.

6. Once he gets home and tells his friends he's safe, he checks his notifications on Instagram. His heart does a thing. He has a new follower, AND HE'S REALLY CUTE.

7. Jimin's pov.

8. Jimin wants to know about this Taehyung that caught his attention, but Yoongi warns him and asks him to be careful.

9. But maybe his a little bit anxious.

10. Back to Tae's pov.
This Jimin really caught his attention.

11. He already freaked out.

12. Medicines before bed sometimes makes him act weird.

13. He's really upset now.

14. *Next morning*
Taehyung has a session with his psychiatrist and Hoseok will take him to the office.

15. Hoseok took Taehyung to his session and waited for him there, meanwhile he told Jungkook that they would meet at the cafe when Tae finished so they could have breakfast together.

16. 40 min later Tae left the office crestfallen and Hoseok realized immediately that he didn't want to show his face.
"Are u ok?" he asked. Taehyung just nodded and made a gesture indicating that they could go now, so they went to the parking lot, there Hoseok received a message

17. Once inside the car Hoseok asked Taehyng again if he was okay.
"Yes... it's just that the psychiatrist made me think about some things and I just started crying, I don't know" he answered.
"You know it's okay to cry bae, you don't have to hide it." Hoseok said.

18. "I know, but I'm fine now, don't worry," he said half smiling "let's go now, Jungkook must be waiting for us." Hoseok smiled at him and nodded, but he was still concerned for his friend.

19. When they got to the cafe they met Jungkook. There they had their breakfast and chatted about random things to distract and make Tae laugh, but he seemed to think of something else.
"What's going on?" Jungkook asked.
"Ah, nothing..." Tae answered.
"Tell us" Jungkook insisted.

20. "It's nothing too serious," Tae said .
"Whatever it is, you can tell us honey," Hoseok added.
"It's just that I'm thinking... last night when I went to bed I couldn't sleep thinking how stupid I acted talking with you" he told to Jungkook.

21. "When I saw that notification I felt something all over my body, like something really good, I can't describe it ... but when I found out that this person is famous I felt stupid..."
"Wait, I'm not getting what you're talking about" Hoseok said.

22. "Park Jimin followed him on instagram" Jungkook replied.
"What?! THE Park Jimin?" Hoseok looked surprised. Jungkook just nodded. "But why did you feel this way? This is something good, isn't?"
"He thinks Jimin followed him by mistake" JK replied instead of Tae. Hoseok frowned

23. "I don't think that's the case, I mean, I suppose he's quite selective in the people he wants to see on his account, don't you think?" Hoseok looked at Tae.

24. "I don't know... even if that was the case, do you think I could talk to him? He must have over a thousand messages waiting for his reply, I have nothing special compared to others." Tae said.

25. "You're thinking too much, HE followed YOU, not the opposite" Jungkook tried to be as direct as possible "Think about it, if he decided to follow you is because he saw something in you, even if he only saw how handsome you are, he will end up discovering how special you are."

26. "I agree with Jungkook" Hoseok added . Tae couldn't say anything. "I'm sure he saw your photos and thought you are the most wonderful thing that could exist in this world" The three laughed.

27. "I guess I just freaked out." Tae finally said.
"And that's normal," Hoseok took his hand and smiled at him "don't blame yourself for that." Jungkook nodded frantically.
"Now let's eat, I'm starving" he said, they laughed and proceeded to eat.

29. *Jimin's pov*
He's upset because Tae hasn't followed him yet.

30. He felt "something" as well.

The days passed and the weekend was approaching. Taehyung didn't mention Jimin to his friends again and they didn't ask either, they knew perfectly well that Tae didn't need to be pressured with anything right now, and they respected that.

33. Taehyung based his week on concentrating on college, although he sometimes found himself thinking about Jimin and checking his Instagram profile.

34. He wanted to know more about him, he wanted to understand the feeling that ran through his body every time he saw a photo of him. But fear prevented him from moving forward. He didn't want another failure in his life, he knew damn well that he couldn't bare it.

35. So the whole week passed, and now the group needed to make plans for a Saturday night.

36. A few hours later everyone is ready to go to the bar. Yoongi picks up Jungkook and he lets Hobi and Tae know that they're on their way.
"Yoonie, Tae and Hobi are joining us tonight, is that okay with you?" Jungkook says.
"W-what?" Yoongi is surprised.

37. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, I'm a fool and I forgot that I told them I would go out with them the same day," Jungkook says with a pout "I'll make it up to you later" now he's smirking, Yoongi laughs ackwardly.
"It's not that" he says. "Jimin is coming too..."

38. "WHAT?" Jungkook screams, surprised. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I was about to do it."
"Oh my god what am I gonna do now" Jungkook is freaking out. Taehyung is gonna hate them for this.

39. "Can't you let them know now?" Yoongi asks.
"It's in vain, they're already on their way. Taehyung is going to kill me" Jungkook rubs his face.
"Is not your fault, calm down baby, everything is going to be alright, Jimin isn't a bad guy" Yoongi tries to calm Jungkook down.

40. "I know, but Taehyung might freak out and-"
"I know what you mean, but nothing's going to happen, we're going to have a great night, you'll see" Yoongi strokes his leg to convey calmness and continues driving. There is nothing they can do now anyway.

41. When Jungkook and Yoongi arrives at the bar, Taehyung and Hoseok are already waiting for them at the door. Jungkook is a bit nervous and doesn't know whether to tell Tae that Jimin is also coming or just wait.

42. “You guys took too long” Taehyung complains.
"Sorry, we got distracted kissing each other" Jungkook jokes. Everyone laughs and walks into the bar to choose a table.

43. The night begins fairly quiet, they laugh, talk and joke among themselves while having a drink and for the first half hour Jungkook is able to forget about Jimin.
In the midst of laughter, Yoongi receives a message.

44. Jungkook notices that Yoongi is replying some messages and leans close to his ear.
"Is it Jimin?" he asks quietly so Tae and Hobi can't hear.
"Yes," Yoongi replies "he's coming... should we tell them?"

45. Jungkook doesn't know what to do, he knows that telling it to Tae won't change the shock, but he thinks he can, at least, give him a few minutes to prepare himself for the meeting, so he just nods in response.

46. Tae and Hobi seem distracted talking about something else and looking at the people at the bar.
"Tae..." Jungkook gets his attention "I have to tell you something."
"What is it? Is everything all right?" Tae asks, puzzled.
"Jimin will join us, he's on his way."

47. Suddenly everything around Tae goes silent. Did he hear well? Jimin... coming? His breath becomes heavy and he can only see Hobi and Jungkook arguing, but can't hear what they say, Yoongi seems to want to explain something, but he can't hear it either.

48. He takes a few deep breaths and begins to think “okay, it's not that bad, it's something that could happen, it's okay, it's not that bad, it's okay, it's not that bad”, and after several deep breaths, in seconds that in his body feel like hours, his breathing is normalized.

49. "It's okay" he suddenly says, the three of them fall silent and look at him.
"What?" Hobi asks in bewilderment.
"It's okay," he repeats "I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" Hobi asks again.
"Yes," he replies "I'm fine."

50. "Listen Tae," Jungkook wants to explain "it was all unintentional, I didn't know Jimin would come and Yoongi didn't know you guys would come, if I-"

51. "I'm saying it's okay, for real" Tae interrupts him. "I can handle this, don't worry," he says, the boys nod, but he's too serious, the boys still worried. "We should order another beer." He's trying so bad not to panic.

52. They all agree to place another order and call the waiter and while they wait for his order they change the topic of conversation to deflect the tension from Tae, but he's restless and cannot look away from the door waiting for Jimin's arrival.

53. A few minutes later the door opens and there he is, Park Jimin.
"He's here" he blurts out without realizing it, everyone turns to the door.

54. Park Jimin is walking towards their table and Tae can feel like everyone stops in his presence, everyone is looking at him... how could they not?

55. He's so handsome and angelic at the same time, Tae can't believe he's a real person. With each step he gives off a magnetic aura. All eyes are on him and he knows it, yet he doesn't seem to care, his eyes are only on Tae.

56. "I'm sorry for being late!" he says with great encouragement when he reaches the table, bowing.
"You took your time," Yoongi jokes, getting up to greet him.
"Please forgive me, hyung" Jimin says with a pout. They both laugh.

57. "Jeon Jungkook! I finally know you! " Jimin heads towards Jungkook.
"It's a pleasure" he replies with a smile.

58. "I'm Park Jimin" now heading towards Hoseok and Tae. Tae just stares at him, not saying a word.
"My name is Jung Hoseok" Hobi introduces himself with a smile, Jimin smiles back at him and then looks at Tae.

59. When their gazes connect, Tae can feel that "thing" go through his entire body again. A few seconds pass in silence and Hobi nudges him to react, Tae jumps in his place and blinks several times, coming to himself.

60. "Oh, sorry," he says hastily "I'm-"
"Taehyung" Jimin interrupts him, not removing the smile from his face. His eyes are shining and Tae can swear to see the entire galaxy in them.
"Ah yes, Kim Taehyung" he states.
"It's a pleasure" they both say at the same time with a smile.

61. After the introductions Jimin sits next to Yoongi, right in front of Tae and seconds later the waiter returns with the beers they had previously ordered.

62. "We're going to need another glass" Taehyung speaks to the waiter, he nods and goes looking for the order.
"Thanks," Jimin says, still looking at him.
Everyone feels how little by little the atmosphere is lightened and they can relax.

63. Time passes between chatter and more laughter and Taehyung is surprised at how incredibly relaxed he is. Everything is flowing well and without discomfort, and he's infinitely grateful for that.

64. "So," Jimin says, turning to Jungkook, "I heard that you're very passionate about photography."
"Ah yes" he answers "but I'm still learning, Tae is almost a professional" he says, diverting the conversation to his friend.
"Oh, how is that?" Jimin asks, intrigued.

65. "Ah, I'm not" Tae answers, embarrassed "I'm also learning, we see a lot about photography in college."
"Don't be modest, you have some amazing jobs," Hobi tries to encourage him.
"I'd like to see that," Jimin smiles resting his chin on his hands, focusing his gaze on Tae.

66. "I-I can show you some later," Tae says, lowering his voice and blushing. Jimin smiles hugely.
"I would love to" he answers. Jungkook and Hoseok exchange a look and smile, Tae is really doing well.

67. "I'm more interested in painting anyway," Tae says, taking courage.
"Ah! He's really good at it!" Hobi adds, Jungkook and Yoongi nods energetically, agreeing with him.
"Well, seems like I'm in presence of a real artist" Jimin says in a flirting tone. Tae smiles shyly.

68. Everyone shares conversations over beers, the night continues progressing and everything is going well.
The alcohol starts to rise to their heads and it is all laughter and fun.

69. "I need to go to the bathroom" Tae says, getting up from the table.
"Do you need me to go with you?" Hobi offers.
"No, I can go alone, don't worry" he answers.

70. Taehyung heads to the bathroom and takes a place in line waiting for his turn to come in. While he’s there he takes his cell phone and goes to instagram, directly to Jimin's profile.

71. He still can't believe that in spite of all his fears he’s sitting in the same table as him, sharing drinks and so many laughs. Right now he feels, and is sure, that he wants to know him more.

72. Jimin is not just a pretty face, he is so smart and a very interesting person. Taehyung decides to finally press the "follow too" button and continues to open the recently uploaded stories. He smiles. There are photos from the photoshoot and photos from right now.

73. A photo of Yoongi and him, a photo of the table and the drinks, a group photo, and finally, a photo of him with a little “cute” half hidden.

74. Taehyung blushes and smiles unconsciously, he hadn't noticed the moment when that photo was taken and thinking that Jimin was watching over him enough to take a picture makes him feel butterflies.

75. While he still scrolls in Jimin's profile, he receives a message from an unknown number. Tae frowns, and the moment he reads the message his breathing stops.

76. His hands starts to shake and his heart races so much he thinks it will jump out of his chest. He begins to search for a familiar face in the crowd until he finds the sender of the message.

77. There he is, looking at him with that smile so characteristic of him. Taehyung freezes on his spot and it's not until he notices the other is getting closer that he reacts and runs off without looking back.

78. He feels like his heart is going to rush out of his throat and he’s about to vomit. How? Of all the bars in the city... He needs to get out of there, he needs to flee.

79. Meanwhile inside the bar, the laughter continues between the two longtime friends, Yoongi and Jimin tell stories from when they were little and from their teens, but Hobi and Jungkook begins to worry about Taehyung's delay.

80. "I'll text him to see if he's okay," Hobi says, and the moment he takes his cell phone his face changes completely.

81. "What’s going on?" Jungkook asks.
"Tae..." Hobi says. Yoongi and Jimin turns their attention to him.
"Is he okay?" Jimin asks.
"He..." Hobi hesitates "needs to go home," he says.
"What happened?" Jungkook begins to despair "Is he having a panic attack?"

82. “Dongsun is here, Tae saw him. I need to take him home, sorry” Hobi quickly grabs his and Tae's jacket and runs towards the exit, Jungkook follows him, leaving Yoongi and Jimin totally stunned behind.

83. "Hobi wait!" Jungkook catches him up "I'm going with you."
"No no no," Hobi replies "I'll stay with him, come back with them, I'll let you know when we're safe, don't worry," he says, and quickly leaves again, leaving Jungkook in the middle of the bar without knowing what do.

84. Jungkook is furious, so much that he starts looking for Dongsun among the people, ready to face him, but he’s not able to find him, so, after a moment, he returns to the table with his boyfriend and his friend.

85. "What happened?" Yoongi asks when Jungkook returns to the table.
"They left... Hobi is taking Tae home" he replies, rubbing his face in frustration.
"I'm sorry but... who is Dongsun?" Jimin asks, curious and concerned. Jungkook and Yoongi goes silent for a moment.

86. "He's Tae's ex..." Jungkook answers.
"Oh..." is all Jimin can say, he doesn’t need to ask for more details, he can imagine everything.
"We better go home," Yoongi suggests, and they agree. They leave the bar and the night ends bitterly.

87. That night, after asking Hobi to leave him alone, Taehyung cried himself to sleep. It had been so long since the last time he saw Dongsun that seeing him in that place disturbed him, and when he saw him approach to him he got scared.

88. What did he want? Was he going to tell him something? Did he want to do something to him? He couldn't stop asking himself all those questions and many more.

89. He remembered everything that had happened between them, wondered what it was that had brought them to this point, and felt guilty again.

90. Taehyung couldn't get out of bed for three days. Every time he heard about Dongsun or saw him somewhere he had a relapse. He didn't even feel able to answer his friends' messages or calls to let them know how he was doing.

91. The room was completely dark and only his own breathing could be heard inside. Taehyung was feeling so miserable that he couldn't even get up to go to the bathroom.

92. On the fourth day, Taehyung manages to gather enough strength to take his cell phone and answer his friends' messages. He knew they were worried about him, but he also knew that they understood that he needed time, and he was grateful for that.

93. After reading each message, Taehyung felt at peace. He could feel his whole body releasing a great weight and he could breathe calmly after several days. So after shedding a couple of tears, he sat on his bed and answered to his friends.

94. Jungkook wanna fight.

95. Once he talked with his friends, he began to feel hunger and exhaustion from being in bed for three days without moving, so, with a big sigh to gather strength and face a new day, he got out of bed, opened the curtains and headed to the shower.

96. After taking a shower, Taehyung felt refreshed, put the house in order for his friends and sat on the couch with his cell phone, checking his social networks.

97. Twitter was quiet and without notifications, but when he entered Instagram he found some notifications, a message and several likes. All of it was from Park Jimin.

98. Jimin had been checking Tae's profile and he didn't even bother to hide it. Each photo uploaded on his account had his like.
Taehyung started laughing nervously. What was this all about? It felt strange, but good.

99. When he read the message that Jimin left him he started laughing even more, he couldn't believe what he was reading. Park Jimin liked him!

100. Tae doesn't know what to reply, the message was from two days ago… maybe Jimin had already forgotten. How would he explain that he had not answered him because he had been depressed in his bed without make him freak out and run away? He needs help.

101. Tae's freaking out, as usual.

103. *Jimin's pov*
He's worried and feeling stupid.

104. It's a working morning as usual for Jimin, a new photoshoot, several outfit, several setups, nothing out of the ordinary, but today he's distracted, it's difficult for him to concentrate and find the right mood for the photos, so they must constantly repeat each one of them.

105. Somehow his mind constantly goes back to the night he saw Taehyung. He's delighted with every inch of his existence, but right now he's worried.

106. That night Taehyung had left the bar because something was bothering him and now he wasn't answering Jimin's messages… Is he okay? Or is it just that he didn't want to reply to his messages?

107. All of this makes Jimin very frustrated and he must ask for a break to try to focus.

108. He tries to think of something else and find the right mood to be able to continue with his work, but it's in vain, he can't stop thinking bout Taehyung, so he takes his phone and writes to Yoongi to ask if he knows anything about the person that can't get out of his mind.

109. While waiting for Yoongi to find out something, Jimin goes to his instagram inbox and opens the message he sent to Taehyung to make sure he hadn't read it yet, but instead of an unopened message he finds out that a "seen" is below the message.

110. Is he ghosting him?
Jimin's face turns into a poker one and he feels stupid. A real clown.

111. He's not mad at Taehyung for ghosting him... he's mad at himself for waiting so long for his answer, as if this person were someone important in his life. He just met him.

112. But why should what a stranger does or doesn't do affect him?

113. With all this Jimin finds the perfect mood for the session. He's going to show everyone that he's Park Jimin and that no one can affect his mood so easily, and with a "I'm ready!" he returns to the set to finish his work.

114. It's past noon when Jimin finally finishes this photoshoot and at that very moment all the humor he had built to be able to work fades.

115. He can't really understand why all of this affects him so much, and even though he's upset cause Tae didn't reply, he feels like there is something he's missing, because the Taehyung he met last weekend is not someone who would ignore him like that, isn't he?

116. That's when he remembers everything Yoongi told him; Taehyung is someone who's going through a difficult time, someone who finds it difficult to trust people.

117. Maybe the problem is that Jimin is recognized in the city and that fact scares him, he thinks. He feels frustrated again, cause he knows there's nothing he can do to change that.

118. After changing his clothes, Jimin is ready to go home, and so he does. Once he's inside the car, accompanied by a member of the staff, he takes his phone and finds several messages from Yoongi.

119. Jimin can't believe what he's reading, he feels so silly that he starts laughing awkwardly. At that very moment, between multiple instagram notifications, he comes across Taehyung's response and starts laughing even more. The message was from an hour ago.

120. "What's going on?" his companion asks, looking at him strangely.
"It's nothing" he answers, with a smile on his face, "it's just that I'm very stupid."
Maybe they're both really dumb and this is going to be a lot of fun.

121. He's fine now.

122. *back to Tae’s pov*
When the boys got to his house, the first thing they did was help him decide what to say in the message. Taehyung felt like a foolish teenager writing a letter for his secret love.

123. It is funny to think that this person gives him so many butterflies in his stomach and he barely know him, but it feels so good that he doesn't want to think about the possible consequences of all this. Especially when he isn't even sure of Jimin's intentions.

124. Once the message is sent, Tae tosses his phone away, cause he's too nervous to wait for a response. All he wants is to be distracted and spend time with his friends.
And so he does, between jokes and laughter they prepare lunch.

125. Sometimes Tae thinks it's amazing the way he manages to relax being with his best friends, and most of the time he thinks he doesn't deserve them.

126. They are so good and understanding, and the way they are always there for him… he can't understand what he did to have them. But right now, he allows himself to enjoy their company and fill his heart with peace.

127. A few hours later, the three of them are lying on the couch and on the floor. They have spent many hours playing video games and now they are bored and sleepy. The day is hot and the fan seems not to be enough for the three of them.

128. "I'm bored and I want ice cream," Jungkook says.
"Same here," Hoseok adds, raising his hand from the floor.
"Bring your phone and call the delivery man," Jungkook tells to Tae.
"Why me?" Tae complains next to him.

129. "Cause it's your house and you have the number" Jungkook concludes.
"Fine, fine, I'll do it," Tae says, getting up heavily to find his phone.

130. Once he has his cell phone, he goes back to the sofa to look for the delivery contact, but before even going to his contact list, he finds the notification of Jimin's response.

131. Tae is surprised, because he knows that Jimin is a busy person and he didn't expect such a quick response. He quickly gets up from the couch again and starts saying nonsense things, moving his hands quickly.

132. The boys don't understand anything and start laughing, asking him to calm down, knowing that this is not a reaction to something bad, quite the opposite.

133."What's going on?" Hoseok asks with a laugh.
"He..." Tae tries to say, also laughing "he already answered" and shows them the phone screen, Jungkook and Hoseok exchange a look and burst into laughter.

134. "And what are you waiting to read it?" Jungkook asks.
"I... I don't know" Tae says, "why am I getting so nervous?!" he's desperate, but he's still laughing. The situation amuses him and he's feeling like a foolish teenager once more.

135. The next thing Tae does is open the message. He smiles at how kind Jimin sound with every word he says. Jungkook and Hobi mokes him for the way he smiles, he just laughs.

136. But then he thinks that maybe Jimin is expecting something that Tae isn't, and that feels strange cause he doesn't want to dissapoint him. However he wants to be honest.

137. He has to wait a bit for the next response. The boys decided to leave and once he's alone he starts to feel a little anxious. But, as always, he tries to take it with grace cause he knows is stupid to overthink such a thing.

138. A couple of minutes later a notification lets him know that Jimin is on the other side. He reads the message expecting whatever but this, and he just-

142. The rest of the day passes while Tae does his. Those days when he was depressed in his bed led him to fall behind with things from college, so he had to catch up so he would not fail any subjects.

143. He thought that keeping his mind busy he wouldn't be waiting nor thinking in Jimin, but he finds himself watching his cellphone time to time, hoping that a new message from him would appear. But nothing comes.

144. It's already night when he finishes his works. Now he's making some dinner for himself but his mind is in another place, far away from the kitchen.
