DSWD Spokesperson Irene Dumlao says ₱83.1-B has been distributed in the second tranche of SAP.

DSWD says no savings have been declared because SAP distribution is ongoing.

DSWD: Mayroon lang nakikitang available funds na hindi magagamit sa emergency subsidy dahil nagkaroon ng kabawasan sa bilang ng ating beneficiaries.

DSWD: Nagkaroon ng kabawasan dahil... yung mga beneficiaries na
lang natin sa first tranche na nakatira sa mga lugar na kinabibilangan ng Region 3, except for Aurora, NCR, Calabarzon (1/2)

DSWD: ...gayun din po yung mga probinsya ng Benguet, Pangasinan, Iloilo, Albay at Cebu at siyudad po ng Bacolod, Davao at Zamboanga. (2/2)

DSWD: Nagkaroon din ng kabawasan ng mga beneficiary dahil sa masusing balidasyon kung saan nakita na hight na 200,000 na pamilya ay ineligible to receive aid.

DSWD: Mayroon din pong mahight sa 1.1 million na pamilya ay nakatanggap ng hight sa isang package of emergency subsidy from other government agencies.

DSWD says local governments were only able to submit 3.3 million of the 5 million "waitlisted" families.

DSWD says there are other forms of aid available, apart from cash assistance.

DSWD says the unit of assistance for the SAP are families.

DSWD says if families have received assistance from other agencies, then they are not eligible to receive SAP.

DSWD says recipients of these grants will undergo assessment as well.

DSWD says livelihood grants are just one way where unutilized funds can be used.
