I wouldn’t normally share this, but I’m in such great company here ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Leftists Call to Cancel Debates: They Are a 'Danger to Public Safety and a Direct Threat to Black Life' breitbart.com/politics/2020/…
ps: advocating for democratic norms is actually conservative.
2020 Plot-twist: the “leftists” are the conservatives and the “conservatives” are the radicals.
To be clear: eroding democracy is radical. Defending democracy is conservative.
Folks, this is a space for information warfare. Take a tip from Swifties: when you see anti-Kamala content/trending topics co-opt it. How? Use the trending keywords to circulate pro-Kamala content. Flood their zone with positivity.
Folks tend to argue facts on here, but hat's not what the memes are for. The memes drown out positive/rational/fact-based discussion for negative stereotypes. Don't argue against it bc that's a losing strategy when it's not about facts, but presence. Instead co-op w/positivity.
I'm glad you asked. DO NOT RESPOND to any post, because, yes, that boosts the negativity. Co-op the post. Take the keywords they use/trending and TURN it back by posting a positive meme. Do not recirculate their content. Take whatever word and re-purpose.
I wrote about how Trump treated women as objects during the 2020 election. They were either hate-objects or sexy-objects, but never people.
And Kristina Horn Sheeler & Karrin Vasby Anderson have explained how the public discourse against women candidates works in their book Woman President: books.google.com/books?id=NfVJA…
Pompeo didn't use "unity" strategies. He used divisive strategies: name-calling, blaming Democrats, accusing Democrats of being anti-American, and did not offer to compromise with Democrats to solve problems. So far "unity" means "capitulate" to Republican rightwing extremism.
Trump walks in looking sheepish and meek, sort of hunched over. I guess that's him trying to look "softer." It's different, that's for sure. Makes him look older.
Um, “disruptive”? 😱And, no, you won’t be covering it. If Trump wins y’all will be printing press releases.
Some folks don’t seem to understand what fascism means.
It’s not “politics as usual.” It’s not a typical election. It’s an existential crisis for the nation and the world. Please take it seriously. 🥹
If you’re a media org and you’re not planning for a fascist takeover of your business, then you’re not taking it seriously enough. It’s the first thing they do.
“No one ever says, 'What we need is a weak leader.' Strength is to be admired, weakness to be deplored or pitied. Yet the facile weak-strong dichotomy is a very limited and unhelpful way of assessing individual leaders. There are many qualities desirable in a political leader..."
"that should matter more than the criterion of strength, one better suited to judging weightlifters or long-distance runners. These include integrity, intelligence, articulateness, collegiality, shrewd judgement, a questioning mind, willingness to seek disparate views..."
"ability to absorb information, flexibility, good memory, courage, vision, empathy and boundless energy. Although incomplete, that is already a formidable list. We should hardly expect most leaders to embody all of those qualities..."
