This fact does not get enough attn in the talk on family separation a/k/a govt kidnapping. The excuse given for separation is that parent illegally entered but - as you've heard time & time again - seeking asylum is a LEGAL form of entry.....1/
Every day I read through FOIAs & declarations from separated & deported parents that @AlOtroLado_Org is working to return & the evidence is clear that these parents entered either through a port of entry - a form of entry #KirstjenNielsen said would not....
be prosecuted yet they DID prosecute - or at the border but immediately expressed a fear of return. LAWFUL ENTRY. Yet their child was ripped from them, they were put in prison & then given time served (around 15 days). ....
So for the 'crime' of a nonexistent unlawful entry, for which the sentence is the 10-15 days waiting to go before a federal judge, these children were taken from their parents & disappeared, the parent was deported & now some haven't seen their child in....
over 3 years. Despite all this, we have to beg the same govt that tortured them to accede to their return. SOMEONE should be prosecuted for this & it's not the parents who came here seeking safety for themselves & their kids. END. @jacobsoboroff
