Everything About Admission and Scholarship in Sweden (Part A).

This will be my 18th thread on Admissions and Scholarship. Let me know if you missed any.

Scholarships in Sweden are basically divided into 2:

1. Swedish Int'l Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP)
2. Tuition Scholarships in different schools.

Today, we will talk about SISGP.
SISGP is a global scholarship available in 34 countries, including Nigeria. The call for SISGP for master’s studies in Sweden, starting in the autumn of 2021, will be published on 16 October 2020.

These are the steps:
a. Check the list of master’s programmes that are eligible for SI Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP) for the academic year 2020/2021 using this link: si.se/app/uploads/20…

Be sure that your intended course is listed in the link. If it's not, then the
the scholarship is not meant for you.

b. To begin with, apply for a master’s programme at universityadmissions.se, between 16 October 2020 – 15 January 2021. This link will show you the schools in Sweden offering your course by just searching. Go to each school and apply.
You don't need to contact professors. The application is easy and straight forward.

c. Apply for an SI scholarship between 10-20 February 2021.

Criteria for SISGP Scholarship

1. You must have a minimum 3,000 work experience. This link si.se/en/apply/sisgp… explains
how to calculate your work experience hours.

2. You must have been admitted and paid the Application fee for a master's programme in any eligible master's program. See: si.se/en/apply/sisgp…
3. You must also have demonstrated Leadership experience from current and previous employment. Please read this: si.se/en/apply/sisgp…
Required Documents:

a. A motivation letter
b. A Curriculum Vitae (CV)
c. Two different letters of reference: At least one letter of reference must be based on your work experience.
d. Proof of work and leadership experience
e. A copy of your passport.
f. 2 2 or 2 1 can apply.

67. University of Florida. M.A French. Fully funded (a little deficit to show, but you won’t be needing it in real-time). No GRE. No English proficiency. No WES. Application fee required.
68. East Tennessee State University. MPH Environmental and occupational health and safety sciences. SOPHAS needed. Fully funded with GA stipend for Fall and Spring semesters only. Application fee is applicable. No GRE, TOEFL/IELTS.

69. University of Florida PhD Soil, Water and Ecosystem Sciences. English test waived, No GRE. App fee about $35.

76. University of Alaska Fairbanks (Masters in Electrical Engineering) Requirements: GRE, IELTS, WES, Application fee( You can send a waiver mail which might(not) be approved). Covers 97% of COA

Requirements: Duolingo
as an alternative, Application fee 100 dollars. Covers about 97% COA. Essay and academic CV required for Scholarship.

Authentication is done at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education in Abuja, Nigeria.

What are you authenticating?:

For Msc Admission: Your WAEC, NECO, BSC certificate, English proficiency letter, and Transcripts.

For Bsc Admission: Your WAEC, and NECO (Kindly ask your prospective school for more information, in case they need more from you as a prospective BSc

To-do Lists for Anyone Interested in Scholarships.

1. Get Int'l passport

2. Write TOEFL/GRE/IELTS if you can.

3. Talk to your past lecturers about recommendation letters (This is usually the hardest)

4. Get your undergraduate transcript from your school.
5. Look for schools that offer your course (Check pinned tweet 10)

6. Write Academic CV

7. Send emails to Professors (Check pinned tweets 5-8)

8. If you have HND or 2 2, do WES evaluation (Check pinned tweet 16)
9. Write SOP/Motivation letter, etc ( Watch: and subscribe)

10. Apply to as many public scholarships as possible.

11. Make sure you secure a supervisor before you apply to that school or be sure you meet all admission requirements.

Basically, there are many ways to get a scholarship:

1. Top Up Degree in Nigeria or Abroad: This program is useful for people in the following category:

a. HND holders with lower credit or pass (all concerned universities accepting lower grades).
b. Graduates (BSc/HND) who want to change to another related or different course.

c. Graduates of polytechnics are not trained to be teachers. They can use this program to change to an education line.
