Ten doctors at Walter Reed discussing Trump’s health. Dr. Conley says they are “extremely happy” with the president’s profess. Image
Trump is going to stay on a five-day remdesivir treatment.
Trump’s not on oxygen. They say he hasn’t been in it at all today. Reporter doesn’t follow up if he was on it last night. Dr. Conley says he doesn’t anticipate Trump needing to go on oxygen this week. Won’t disclose “specific numbers” about Trump’s fever.
Has he ever been on supplemental oxygen? Not today or yesterday, Conley says. Avoids discussing whether Trump has been on it prior.
Conley won’t disclose or discuss when Trump was infected with the coronavirus.
Reporter asks about other risk factors beyond Trump being obese. “He’s 74, he’s male, he’s slightly overweight,” but other than that, Conley says Trump is doing well.

Heart rate in 70s to 80s, and blood pressure is fine.
So: Conley said his team is “72 hours" into Trump's Covid diagnosis. So he was diagnosed Wednesday morning at some point? And he didn’t disclose his infection until about 12:50 AM on Friday.

At 100 Centre St awaiting the start of Trump criminal trial at 11 ET. First order of business at 9:30 tho: Judge Merchan is holding a hearing on whether Trump violated the court’s gag order with repeated statements and social media posts attacking likely witnesses and the court.
Trump will shrug off any relatively modest fines levied against him. He doesn’t care about several thousand dollars. He is likely to care about the prospect of jail time, however. Merchan runs a tight, sober-minded courtroom. We’ll see how he decides to rein in Trump.
Prosecutors are detailing a list of occasions when they say Trump violated the gag order — including yesterday “right outside this building.”

“No one is off limits to the defendant and he can attack and intimidate any one he wants,” says Chris Conroy, Exec ADA.

Trump’s financial trap — he can’t come up with the cash to appeal his $454 million civil fraud judgment — may ravage his business. More directly: It intensifies his threat to national security by making him an easy mark for overseas interests. My column: bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

Trump personally pressured two Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers in Michigan not to sign the certification of the 2020 presidential election, according to recordings reviewed by The Detroit News. detroitnews.com/story/news/pol…
“It’s just shocking that the president of the United States was at the most minute level trying to stop the election process from happening," said one Wayne County commissioner.
"Offering something of value to a public official to not perform a required duty may raise legal issues for a person doing so," said Chris Thomas, a lawyer who served as Michigan's elections director for more than three decades.

New intelligence has prompted the Energy Department to conclude that an accidental laboratory leak in China most likely caused the coronavirus pandemic, though American spy agencies remain divided over the origins of the virus, American officials said. nytimes.com/2023/02/26/us/…
“In addition to the Energy Department, the F.B.I. has also concluded, with low confidence, that the virus first emerged accidentally from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a Chinese lab that worked on coronaviruses.”
“The intelligence agencies have said they do not believe there is any evidence that the coronavirus that causes Covid-19 was created deliberately as a biological weapon.”
