This morning @MeetThePress gave Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller a platform for 10 minutes
NO DEMOCRAT was allowed on the show afterward to counter him
I’m told a senior Democrat was booked—but Meet the Press canceled them AT THE LAST MINUTE
This is open Republican bias
On @ThisWeekABC , Miller was also booked — but they allowed a Biden spokeswoman, Kate Bedingfield, to respond. Note the bottom of the screen where it says "BIDEN CAMPAIGN RESPONDS."
@chucktodd offered the Biden campaign no such opportunity.
This is just the latest example of Meet the Press's open right-wing bias. They have been stacking their "panel of journalists" with Republican governors like Scott Walker and Pat McCrory and not allowing Democrats to appear on them to offer a balanced view
This has been going on for months and @NBCNews has not said a word about it. And it’s almost like media reporters are afraid to cover it because they might want to end up working for NBC one day.
For some reason this story with at least 5 solid examples will never appear on @brianstelter’s show about *checks notes* the news media
It seems completely hopeless but I'll just quietly say this loudly: IF YOU WORK AT NBC NEWS AND YOU THINK THIS IS BULLSHIT THEN FUCKING SPEAK UP ABOUT IT INSTEAD OF DMING ME PRIVATELY
A month before the election the highest-rated Sunday morning news show is tipping the scales for the president's reelection campaign and actively not allowing his opponent's campaign to respond. They had a guest booked and canceled on them. At the least, @NBCNews should say why.
Thank you to two of the Baldwins for raising awareness about this important issue. @ABFalecbaldwin can we get the trifecta please.
Some people concerned that one of these Baldwins is not a real Baldwin; our editorial team is investigating but regardless, important to note that the Meet the Press bias issue has resonated across the Baldwin Aisle.
How many weeks does this show need to trend before media reporters start asking @NBCNewsPR for a response

Today is the six-year anniversary of the Access Hollywood “pussy" tape. As I do every year, I will be live-tweeting the events of that day as they occurred.
It was a beautiful, crisp autumn day. Not a cloud in the sky. It was one month until voting day for the 2016 election. It was a normal Friday. I was traveling with the President of the United States.
The President was scheduled to speak at a factory. We were in the Beast — the term for the SUV that carries the POTUS in the traveling motorcade. We were listening to All Things Considered on the radio. "Nothing unusual will happen today, right?" POTUS asked me. "Yes" I replied
CBS News president Neeraj Khemlani said in a meeting that he hired Republicans like Mick Mulvaney to lie on air so CBS gets “access” to the GOP because they’re going to win the midterms
Now that CBS itself has polls showing the GOP lead shrinking why is Mulvaney still employed
The meeting was recorded and shows the top journalists at CBS News saying how much they want to give their platform to Republicans like Kevin McCarthy
Colbert criticized his own network for “not just reporting the news anymore, but predicting it” and using that as an excuse to get in bed with Republicans under the guise of political inevitability seven months before the actual midterms
This article validates every “lock her up” Republican plainly acting in bad faith today by repeating a bullshit talking point and even states in Serious Newsvoice that the raid “drew the ire of conservatives who decried the search as an abuse of power” in service of that bullshit
When the archaic Both Sides model of journalism is applied to a political system in which one party is fascist and spreading misinformation as a strategy then the very practice of that type of journalism itself is an endorsement of that misinformation rather than a block on it
If you are quoting or citing Josh Hawley — a white supremacist who incited the Jan. 6 insurrection and spread the Big Lie and continues to do so to this day — without adding a single clause that provides any context, you are supporting the spread of intentional misinformation
If your article quotes Ted Cruz without noting that Ted Cruz lied and continues to lie about the 2020 election then is it journalism or is it the top story in the Ted Cruz Newsletter Presented By Ted Cruz
The media’s limitless ability to take everything Republicans lie about and turn it into “Why are you hearing more about X? We asked Republicans to say more about it” is how the news industry willingly spread the Big Lie, CRT panic, and now “doors are the real problem”
journalists go to press conferences wondering “what will the newsiest thing be” and if someone with a Title Before Their Name interrupts it then their squirrel brain will go “wow that’s the lede!” and they spell “lead” like that even in their head because they think it’s so cool
if you’re a public official in the democratic party and your default to doing anything is “I respect my colleagues on the other side of the aisle” you’re working for the people on the other side of the aisle
The media is scolding the left for protesting outside the homes of Supreme Court justices, but the media is rewarding the white supremacists who literally chanted "hang Mike Pence" by giving them access and legitimacy on major news platforms every day to help them erase January 6
Calling a white nationalist who spread misinformation to millions of people and tried to execute public officials to overthrow the government a “protester” is objectively a lie, but because Republicans run news networks this is not just accepted but heavily encouraged
The mainstream media is deliberately and unapologetically whitewashing the history and behavior of domestic terrorists to serve their goal of pushing Republican propaganda on the air
