NEW: extremist group in Michigan wanted to hold a “treason” trial and murder Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
The group is called “Wolverine Watchmen.” MI has charged other members outside the 6 charged by the feds for attempted terrorism and felony possession charges. The group discussed annihilating the country in order to “conquer it” and “take it back.”
To clarify: MI is charging for support of terrorist acts; feds charging for different crimes.
Members of Wolverine Watchmen have to be extremely concerned today. It is clear the authorities were spurred to act on these individuals now as they progressed toward action. Does not mean this investigation won’t result in further charges.

This is a QAnon dogwhistle. I wanted to believe Tebow was genuine; instead he says we need to “stop young boys and girls from being sent around the world.” Human trafficking affects ADULTS and children. It is forced prostitution, not some crazy child kidnapping conspiracy.
Kids can be trafficked and it is horrific. But how do we justify sudden conservative interest in “human trafficking” when it *ignores* what trafficking is? It is men forcing women to have sex, for money or other reasons. It can involve minors; it often doesn’t. Why rewrite it?
In *yet another* disservice to adult WOMEN who have suffered throughout history at the hands of traffickers, conservatives are suddenly interested in the plight of trafficking because they theorize it involves children, denigrates liberals, and is “being stopped” by Trump.

BREAKING: The Second Circuit rejects Trump’s second (and final) appeal to block transmission of his financial documents, including accountant and tax records, to the Manhattan DA. Trump will likely appeal to SCOTUS.
The court was unanimous. While the Supreme Court could take up Trump’s appeal, it seems unlikely. There aren’t a lot of hard issues of law here.
“The direction of the subpoena to the President’s accountant, rather than to the President himself ... relieves the President of the burden of being responsible for compliance, thus freeing the President from obligations that might otherwise interfere with his duties of office.”

Hillary Clinton’s national lead on this exact date in 2016: 14 points.

Do not get complacent. Do not trust the polls. Every vote will count.
If you’re in the mentions talking about why these are better polls or pointing out differences, ask yourself why. The only reason to argue with this is if you *want* the polls to be right so you feel better.

I get it. We want to win. But stop doing that. Just do the work.
But for those of you bickering saying I’m wrong:

Something is off about testing stories coming from the White House. Hicks tested negative Wednesday morning, but showed symptoms later that day? Everyone tested before debate, but all (including Hicks) also tested negative then? How did it spread while everyone tested negative?
Key questions (IMO): who is doing the testing? Who controls what results are publicized? Who ensures everyone is actually *doing* the tests?
Made more complicated by Bloomberg report that Trump was fatigued (i.e. symptomatic) by Wednesday and they worried he had Covid. Symptoms take 2-5 days to show. How were all these tests—Monday, Tuesday, Tuesday debate, Wednesday—all negative as folks literally became symptomatic?

Let’s not let the President’s racism and penchant for civil war change the conversation: who made it possible for Deutsche Bank to loan Donald Trump, serial defaulter and bankruptcy extraordinaire, $421 million that he now personally owes?
Why hasn’t Donald Trump paid a cent of the principal on any of his loans?
Where did the shady $427 million Trump raised during his tenure on The Apprentice disappear to, if not to pay down these loans?

To anyone suggesting Manhattan DA is wrong to wait to enforce Mazars subpoena, imagine:

- DA submits docs to Grand Jury
- Trump appeals to SCOTUS
- they rule there *was* a stay in place
- docs improperly seized
- start over

DA is safeguarding this from appeal.
1/3
Background: Trump has lost at district court and looks set to lose again at Second Circuit on current claims of overbreadth and bad faith.

Second Circuit judges said they weren’t sure subpoena was even currently stayed (blocked), so maybe DA could just seize documents now. 2/4
DA says no, we think there is a stay, and we will wait. Trump agrees.
