I’m going to update y’all with some information that I’ve learned about the upcoming election in CA.
#1 - I’m a poll worker this year.
#2 - Finished both online training and in person training.
#3- Boy did I learn a lot
THREAD
1/
#4 - My mailed in ballot was received 4 days after mailing it. I received a text that it was batched, sorted and at the Shasta County Elections office.
👊🏻
2/
Poll workers are always needed for elections. As I was told in my training, THIS election is so important.

#1 - COVID requirements are in place. We received training on the importance of that.
#2 - We have 60 precincts in Shasta County. 650 PW which 360+ will be working
3/
Roughly 200+ will be on standby. We also get paid for our work. There are many individuals with lots of experience that will be their as Inspectors (like the supervisor) helping and overseeing operations during voting.
4/
One thing I HAVE to say is that I completely get the check and balances that we have to go through during voting. All these C&B’s help ensure that we have the voters backs with integrity and can assure anyone that their vote counts.
5/
Even while there were times during the training I thought there was a lot of C&B’s that seemed to overlap, I realized that this is the feature, not the bug and at the end, I got it.
Integrity of the election is #1
The safety of PW’ers is also #1
6/
The one thing I took away was that EVERY VOTE COUNTS.
If you voted, but made an error, there’s a plan for that.
If you moved, changed your name, there’s a plan for that.
If you received a mail in ballot but want to vote in person, there’s a plan for that.
7/
There is a plan for every contingency so that voters can have an opportunity to VOTE. Every voter is treated the same.
Every person has the right to VOTE.
I have so much respect for the voting integrity in Shasta County and across CA. I’m proud to do my part.
8/
And for those that want to know. None of the voting machines are hooked to the internet. They are all programmed for each precinct because each one votes differently (local bonds/measures).
Appreciate all that I learned and look forward to Nov. 3.

One thing we learned early on as Firefighters....is to have Air Ambulance insurance so this wouldn’t happen. It’s not expensive annually, but you need to ensure that the right Air Service serves your area and surrounding states. Because of this.
Unless your private healthcare
1
Covers it in your policy.
An example of what that means.

Ask your agent or ask the ACA @andySlavitt might be able to help since this information is old.

OK folks, this has got me started.
I’ve tweeted about this freaking grifting school in Redding, CA before.
This morning I tweeted that our county turned RED because of an outbreak and these puckers that did it and helped spread it is BETHEL CHURCH.
1/
THREAD
The FACT is that BETHEL CHURCH is a wannabe grifting church that speaks of tongues and mystical shit and has a devoted following. They suck you in with MUSIC and produce and send their loyal students around the world to compete.
They bring in loads of money to the City here
2/
And also helped fund the Redding Airport so it could open with more flights. They helped put up the bond to help that along with business owners. They took over city properties that were empty and are expanding their campus to a larger space.

Well, received the email this morning. The golf club I play my games regularly has notified us that there has been an outbreak of COVID and that the restaurant and bar will be closed.
They have had it opened for outside seating only for 2 months.
Masks are required
1/
My hubs provides the sanitation products that they use on hands and supposed to be using to clean the carts.
The thing is that masks are required, however, many of the Republican members won’t wear them. The club is open to the public and they’ve gotten slack
2/
I wear a mask every time I go into this club. I use a hand sanitizer every time I touch anything.
I spray down the steering wheel of the golf cart to be sure. Our ladies group (70+) all wear masks and do the same thing.
Sadly, the men do not.

Being a troll doesn’t look good.
Facts:
The Fire in the Mendocino National Forest and even Whiskeytown #Carr Fire begins somewhere and ends elsewhere.
Homes near forests are at risk and why they can get destroyed
1/
The highest state for Personal Income Tax could be CA but other states have a combined tax and sales income rate that is higher
#IncludeAllTheFacts
From January 2020
2/
Federal aid should be given to states where fires impact individuals. We pay taxes for that and for someone who has had friends and family lose their homes to fires, we are thankful when we can get it

Thanks for reminding me on this one.
The financial disclosure of Amy Coney Barrett from 2017 is just her financials. Her husband, Jesse, is an attorney in Private Practice and isn’t listed.

To my point about McConnell’s mocking her destroying the ACA b/c she has kids, etc.
1/
2/ Amy and her husband can AFFORD to buy Healthcare Insurance, so the argument doesn’t make any sense.
That comment came here. McConnell is deflecting. Without knowledge of her husbands income, it’s hard to suggest that she’s in need of the ACA.

Also important: When you update your change of address, you can’t opt-out of having your mailing information given to Direct Mail Services. Congress has tried and failed to get that done too.

The story may be from 2013, but I’ve checked and this hasn’t changed and the NAIC in Memphis is where the changes get done.
Here’s a snapshot
