Phoenix LiveDashboard v0.3.0 is out with some *amazing* new features! I will need a thread to highlight everyone, so keep on reading! 👇
We have added a new Ecto Stats that shows a bunch of relevant stats from your database, such as vacuum stats, index usage, long queries, etc:
Furthermore, if you explicitly set the :allow_destructive_actions option, you can now simulate failures by killing processes directly from the dashboard:
I often used Erlang's Observer in my presentations to showcase applications trees and supervisors in action and this small addition means I can now show off both Observer and Dashboard! 🐦🔥💨🏂
Finally, v0.3.0 comes with official support for custom pages, thanks to the newly added PageBuilder: hexdocs.pm/phoenix_live_d… - most of all our pages have been ported to the builder, including the new Ecto Stats page, so we dog food our own APIs!
Last but not least, we would like to welcome and thank the contributions of our latest Dashboard team member, @alexcasdev, which was directly responsible for most of these additions! 😍

We also want to thank @_pawurb for the ecto_psql_extras library, which powers the Ecto Stats!

Hi everyone! @mcrumm, @sanesquid, and I are really happy to announce the first official release of the Phoenix LiveDashboard: github.com/phoenixframewo…. Read the thread 👇for more context and screenshots!
The Dashboard brings you immediate insight into your Phoenix applications. The focus is on *production* data. Even if you are just starting with Phoenix, we added tooltips on the widgets so you can learn more about them and if/when you should worry. 🔥
The Dashboard also has Telemetry integration - that's one of the big features in the upcoming Phoenix v1.5 but you can use it today! You can publish any metric from your app to the dashboard. By default we include request/response data, database info, and VM metrics.

I am ready to announce what is next for me: @dashbit! :D

In the last 20 months at @plataformatec, we've built a foundation for sustainable open source and I am happy to say @wojtekmach, @marlussaraiva, and myself will continue pushing it forward as @dashbit. [1/4]
@dashbit @plataformatec @wojtekmach @MarlusSaraiva At @dashbit, we help companies adopt and run Elixir in production through the Elixir Dev Subscription which in turn allows us to create and contribute to many open source projects, such as Ecto, Broadway, Hex, and Elixir itself. [2/4]
We have been operational for almost 2 years and we have worked with more than 20 companies. Still, we are just starting! Soon we will be launching our blog and we have some interesting projects on the pipeline we can't wait to share! [3/4]
