“We could have moved faster and for this, we are sorry”
-VP Osinbajo

Dear VP Osinbajo, (GCON)
Calvary greetings to you from Calgary.
May God bless your efforts to end the ongoing protests.
“Blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called the children of God” - Matt 5:9
In life, it is important to start well. It is even more important to finish well.
The Government of President Buhari (GCFR) has started very well. Insha Allah and by the grace of God, this administration will finish very well on a sound footing. 👇
We must call a spade a spade. The ongoing protests is hydra headed and is not just about police brutality.
If it is about police brutality, the protests would have long come to an end, with all the conditions accepted and implemented by Govt.👇
Now that we are where we are, the question is “Where do we go from here”
Simple- We need to separate the Wheat from the Chaff. 👇
1. We must take steps to ensure that those with the hidden agenda of regime change are not allowed to topple a democratically elected Government. 15,191,847 votes must be defended.
2. We should make sure that all politicians using the current crisis for 2023 cruise campaign under the guise of seeking a solution are denied recognition in resolving this crisis. This list include serving Governors and leaders of the National Assembly. Few of them are sincere.
Still on bullet point 2, “Those that ride on the back of a tiger should expect to end up in the belle of the tiger”. A word is enough for the wise.
3. Government should be proactive to address some of the emerging demands from the protests, particularly the new call for “reduction in cost of Governance”.
Like anti-police brutality, this is a legitimate demand.
4. In order to be proactive and avert the need for a second apology “We could have moved faster, and for this, we are sorry” - I say now is the time to move faster on the silent and prolonged calls for “reduction in the cost of Governance”
5. Items such as hazard allowance (50% base pay) for NASS members & yearly provision of N2.7 Billion as allowance for ex Presidents and VP represents deadly missiles in the hands of the protesters, going by SM comments from the protesters. Govt must take steps to do the needful
6. There is also need to reduce the number of aides across all tiers of Govt.
SA, SSA medical, domestic, social event, special event, new media, old media, social media, photography, print media, Internet need to be revised. These wastes are difficult to defend in a C19 era
7. Nigeria, no doubt is going through a storm. The Eagle 🦅 soars higher during storms and i have no doubt, Nigeria will weather the storm and come out stronger.
Closing:
“We could have moved faster and for this, we are sorry -PYO

“Now is the time to be smart and move fast on the salient and root cause issues” - OA
Disclaimer: I condemn all acts of violent protests including road blocks and attacks on police stations.
I also do not support endless protests with unending demands and the associated damages to the economy -OA

Separating the WHEAT from the CHAFF.

Fellow Nigerians,
It affords me great pleasure to write to you this evening.
I have observed closely from Canada, developments in our country, specifically #EndSARS protest which has now transformed into #EndSWATNow and #BuhariResignNow 👇
The hydra headed nature of these protests is a grave cause for concern.
Before i proceed further, i wish to provide some comments for the sake of clarity 👇
A) All peaceful protests against police brutality is justified and a constitutional right, a fact .@MBuhari acknowledges.
B) Violent protests in the form of road blocks & attacks on police stations are not acceptable and constitute acts of thuggery and criminality. I condemn such

Restructuring!!!
On the subject of restructuring, Gov .@kfayemi dipped his hands into the bee nest with his recent utterances. I have also opted to dip my hands into the same bee 🐝 nest. Here we go 👇
.@NGRPresident .@NigeriaGov 👉
I am a Change Champion. I also believe in continuous improvement. Therefore, it would be incorrect of me to say that our current federating arrangement is perfect & inmune to correction. There is always room for improvement. However, here are the issues why i am not in support👇
The word “restructuring” means different things to different people. To some, it implies the vehicle to achieve the dismemberment of Nigeria.
To some, it is the means to change status from a small fish in a big river to becoming a big fish in a small river👇

Kayode Fayemi recently had an interview with reporters & spoke on many issues
Reading between the lines, the responses has exposed Fayemi as a man that speaks from both sides of the mouth and the next big threat to APC.
.@kfayemi .@OfficialAPCNg .@APCUKingdom .@NGFSecretariat
Reflecting on the activities of agitators for succession, Fayemi said
“Nobody wants Nigeria to break up. They only want Nigeria to work for all of us.”

Clearly, .@kfayemi from this response supports the breakup of Nigeria and is sympathetic to the demands of the agigators
Fayemi said:”We must confront our reality as a federation. The current structure is supportive of unitarist model. The state structure for now is problematic.  There is need to move towards devolution, not only of functions, but also resources.”

2021 budget: What we might expect to see. (A citizen opinion)

The FG has done extremely well to reset budget timeline to Jan-Dec by ensuring an approved budget is in place Jan 01. Kudos to hardworking & beautiful .@ZShamsuna .
What is PMB likey to share with us this week? 👇👇 Image
The 2021 budget is easy to predict because it will be largely influenced by COVI19 EEF. Govt has 2 options to manage the strategic change in direction, "Prioritization" or "Borrowing". This will be the main revelation of the budget. Budget of Growth or a budget of Survival? Image
Oil Price Benchmark:
We applied a PERT estimate to arrive at $38/ barrel as 2021 oil price benchmark for budget purpose, based on most likely ($40, current), Optimistic ($57, 2019 avg) and Pessimistic ($11, 2020 year low)
Estimate= (4M + O + P)/6 = $38 .@ZShamsuna .@MBuhari Image
