Four indispensable pages from “The Orthodox Study Bible” about Eastern and Western Christianity and the mess of the latter.…
During the centuries after 1054 AD, the growing distinction between East and West was becoming indelibly marked in history. The East maintained the full stream of New Testament faith, worship, and practice—all the while enduring great persecution.
The Western or Roman Church, crippled externally because of its schism from the Orthodox Church, then internally when a little-known German monk called Martin Luther inadvertently launched an attack against certain Roman Catholic practices which ended up affecting world history.
Any chance for full unity in the West ended when the reforms Luther sought in Germany spread all over Western Europe. The Protestant movement that raged like wildfire back then continues to spread through splits and shatters today because the model itself is built on disunity.
If trouble on the continent of Europe were not trouble enough, the Church of England went its own way as well. Henry VIII, amidst his marital problems, replaced the Pope of Rome with himself as head of the Church of England. You can now easily see the crux of our reality today.
To this day, many sincere, modern, professing Christians will reject even the biblical data which speaks of historic Christian practice, simply because they think such historic practices are “Roman Catholic.” They threw the baby out with the bathwater completely unaware of it.
I cannot think of a better argument for returning to source data. This used to be what people called “scholarship.”

Ukraine is frozen in conflict. There will be no flight nor flight. The country has been captured in shame by the West. This is a kind of spiritual abuse. We’re done here.
No doubt about it, we’re at an important crossroads of knowledge and it’s time to take a closer inspection in the mirror to reflect on how we arrived here, in order to fully shift the understanding internally. The mirror reveals it all, crystal clear, if we’re willing to look.

To find some peace in the world, there really needs to be a mutual understanding that what some people find abhorrent and criminal, others find perfectly acceptable behavior. Things like child rape, sex cults, slavery, rogue law, medical malpractice, and hidden genocides.
Today, the idea of mutual understanding or full unity is a radical one. Because what is considered radical or revolutionary, implemented by a minority, is not intended for the wellbeing of a majority of people.

Leave it to politicians. They turned a beautiful religious holiday into a celebration of hatred.
“The Jews are always thrown under the bus by the WASPS, always — it is a thing, going all the way back to Oliver Cromwell.”…

A bully who shifts and subsequently dumps blame onto a target may have suffered trauma severe enough to damage the brain. A kind of spiritual damage has happened in the core identity of that person. It is caused by a “toxic” shame from trauma, the most damaging outcome of trauma.
In contrast, “healthy” shame happens when we do something wrong and then we feel guilty, remorseful, and even angry at ourselves at first. Healthy shame motivates us to not repeat a wrong action by making us feel really bad about that wrong action. Healthy shame is not traumatic.
Now replace the one bully with a whole group of society who have all suffered from the same kind of trauma and hold onto the same “toxic” feelings of self-loathing and deep hatred for themselves, a kind of deep freeze. But a backstory helps us see the truth in everybody’s story.

Three raving Bolsheviks talking about democracy. 🤣🤣🤣 You cannot write this absurdity! Lolz.
Spoiler alert: on the serious side, the Bolsheviks were militant atheists, a death cult that murdered tens of millions of Christians, Muslims and Orthodox Jews. @AVindman @Kasparov63 @anneapplebaum
The Bolsheviks committed the greatest human slaughter of all time. The fact that most of the world is ignorant and uncaring about this enormous crime is proof that the global media is in the hands of the Bolshevik perpetrators. —I am paraphrasing Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
