We are pattern recognizers in search of and lead by pattern curators.
Our tribes sort around empathetic triggers which are curated by tribe members and leaders.

A common trigger for all tribes is an image that clearly defines the other as evil.

These triggers create tribal enemies not political opponents.

It’s the era of networked tribalism.
Empathy is prelanguage. We just feel it. Other animals have it, too.

The empathetic triggers of today are viral images that sort us into tribes through the gut not the brain.

How we react to empathy triggers may be out of our control.

Our tribes are who we are.
On my podcast Dugin said there is no truth only information.

I’ll add that there’s so much information that we can only look for meaning in pattern recognition. It’s the only way to make sense of the world.

The curators who control the patterns we see have immense power.
The prescient @johnrobb explains what pattern recognition, empathy triggers, and pattern curation are and a whole lot more in this incredible video interview on Jack Murphy Live.

I am all about the Bullet Journal method these days.

Who is with me?
I use two journals.

One for bullet method and exploration.

The other is called the Productivity Planner.

That is based on the pomodoro technique.

I use bullet to surface my five most important tasks. Then I use the Productivity Planner to plan and track my time.

“Not tea, not taxes, but the cause of God.”

- Joel T. Headly

Why am I interviewing Dugin?

He is a man of influence and ideas.

We should know what he is thinking.

By interviewing him, I'm not supporting him.

I'm revealing him and leaving the decision up to you.
People have warned me that interviewing Dugin is risky. That I'll be smeared by association, or that I'm even putting my social media accounts at risk.

That may be true.

But the truth is also worth it.

I'm going to ask the question I want and let the chips fall where they may.
I suspect I will object to a great number of things Dugin says.

However, I will reserve my critique in some cases for a later time.

My goal is to get the man talking, not to cut him off and play gotcha all day.

Just bc I let him say something doesn't mean I support it.
