Lara Trump tells #CNNSOTU that Trump wasn’t doing anything to “threaten” people with “lock her up” chants . She says “he was just having fun.” Described the atmosphere at “light hearted.”
Lara says the COVID death rate is coming down, people think Trump is doing a good job handling the virus, and that’s he’s doing well with women. It’s all total nonsense.
Basically, Lara is showing what a hard time Trump people have speaking to people outside their Trump bubbles. So much yelling. It’s too early for this.

More than anything in the interview, this set off alarm bells in my mind. Loud ones.
Let me tell you why. Trump has said the election will be rigged. He has cast aspersions over mail-in ballots. And now the AG is suggesting foreign interference w mail in ballots. While the Admin refuses to provide oral briefings about election interference to Congress.
That means whatever written story about election interference that goes to Congress is the story. No pushback. And print material leaks. They will set the narrative. Barr and others are saying don’t worry about Russia. It’s China that’s the problem.

Mercedes Schlapp was really arguing ballots that are postmarked by Election Day but counted after Election Day amounts to voters casting ballots after Election Day? That’s where they are going w that?
Many states invalidate ballots that arrive after Election Day even if the postmark meets the deadline. Thousands of ballots have been thrown own bc of this and there’s been a huge push to count those that are postmarked before ED.

If you thought President Trump’s Mount Rushmore and Fourth of July addresses were, as former Pres George W. Bush memorably described another Trump speech, “some weird shit,” then you missed the even weirder preview he gave to a bunch of kids last month. thebulwark.com/charlie-kirk-t…
The Kirk-produced "Students for Trump" revival-style meeting was so warped that Trump’s remarks were the most normal part of the event. thebulwark.com/charlie-kirk-t…
Think of Kirk as the president’s Pied Piper. And now Trump is testing Kirk’s tune on the rest of the country. What Kirk had previously described as a “campus battlefield” has become the culture war Trump is waging across the nation. thebulwark.com/charlie-kirk-t…

I'm watching the "Students for Trump" livestream and the intro for Trump's talk showcases Trump telling Jeb during the primary debate how he can insult his way to the presidency.
It also showed Megyn Kelly asking Trump about his "fat pigs" comment, and Trump calling Hillary a "nasty women" during the debate.
Another flashback of his "because you'd be in jail" comment to HRC. Great lessons for college kids.

Former Under Secretary of Defense James Miler submits his resignation to SecDef Esper, telling him "Law-abiding protesters just outside the White House were dispersed using tear gas and rubber bullets — not for the sake of safety, but to clear a path for a presidential photo op."
MILLER : "Some could interpret literally your suggestion to the nation’s governors Monday that they need to 'dominate the battlespace.' I cannot believe that you see the United States as a 'battlespace,' or that you believe our citizens must be "'dominated.'"
