Voting starts tomorrow for labour’s NEC. For members’ rights it is the most important internal election. For the 1st time the election is by STV. You have 1 vote, use it wisely and make sure you know how the voting system works. 1.
2. Members didn’t ask for this voting system. We were not given a choice & we were not consulted. This form of STV was not implemented for unity but to benefit a certain faction - does anyone really believe it was anything other than a power grab?
3. So we must use every strategy we have to ensure those who believe in rights for members - all members not just some members are fought for. Those rights for all are dependent on electing the correct people tomorrow.
4. There are those in our party who have not only used their interpretation of the rules to disenfranchise members, but have used legal process to harm members & our party too.
5. There are those who have spent years name calling & harming. Leaking & briefing. All for one purpose. And that purpose is not unity. It’s power. So here’s what we must do.
6. Vote. Don’t think it doesn’t matter it does. Every vote will count. Use your 1 vote and make sure you do all you can to get the vote out.
7. Turnout is going to be vital.
8. Vote for candidates who stand for members rights, for justice and for a party that is for all not just the chosen few but for democracy.
9. Vote for candidates that were not part of the past purges and don’t vote for those who celebrated those purges & engage in nasty comments about our members with name calling & reporting, tying our disciplinary process up in knots.
10. So vote for @future_we_need candidates. They have past my years.
11. Because there are those who try to use the law & breach the rules to hurt. We need someone on nec that can fight law & process with law & process. So add @MarkStokeSouth
12. For outstanding communications add @Fruitandvegdon
13. For commitment to diversity add @JermainJackman the only open labour candidate that wasn’t part of the discipline trials of the 16 leadership election.
14 and remember your One Vote will keep transferring round after round. And it’s value will depend on what preferences others make. So don’t be tempted to vote for unity of the other slates, it’s a false flag designed to take a proportion of your other preferences.
And if you don’t receive your vote in the next few days. Ask for a reissue.
Stand together & make it happen.

@Syn0nymph 1. We are a small rural community. The nearest Costco is 1.5 hrs away, chain supermarkets 1 hr, poor public transport, an ageing population. If our shop cannot get stock from cash & carry suppliers then the community suffers.
Over the past 2 weeks turnover dropped by 50%
@Syn0nymph 2. Under austerity we have lost our school, post office, last remaining pub. Shop is our last community service but it cannot take the hit of this loss of trade just because major supermarkets get priority from suppliers & bulk buying is affecting our population terribly.
@Syn0nymph 3. The business cannot sustain repayments of a loan from the government. Under welsh labour led government as a rural business we do not pay business rates so the Tory initiative is of no help to rural businesses
