Possessing child pornography is a strict liability offense. So if the computer hardware guy, or Rudy Giuliani, or Steve Bannon perused the hard drive and saw child porn, then maintained possession of it or imaged the hard drive, they’d each be guilty of a federal crime.
All this is to say—none of them said anything about child porn. Not to the FBI, not to the public; none of the emails said that. Senator Ron Johnson (one of the “July 4th in Moscow” bunch) made that claim on Fox News today.
Just another reason to believe this is perhaps one of the dumbest/sickest hoaxes perpetrated on the American people. The disgusting inclusion of a text from Joe Biden to his son about how much he loves him while he struggled with self esteem in recovery from addiction. Shameless.
And just to make it clear, all this suggests the obvious: there was no child porn on this hard drive. Everyone involved in this sick charade would have committed a federal felony if there were (not saying they haven’t committed several others already).

Respect Hunter Biden.

BREAKING: Trump Tax Records show a secretly held bank account in China. The account did not show up on Trump’s public financial disclosures, where he must list personal assets, because they are held under corporate names. nytimes.com/2020/10/20/us/…
In 2017, the company reported an unusually large spike in revenue — some $17.5 million, more than the previous five years’ combined. It was accompanied by a $15.1 million withdrawal by Mr. Trump from the company’s capital account.
During the 2016 campaign, a shell company controlled by a Chinese couple from Vancouver bought 11 units, for $3.1 million, in the Las Vegas tower Mr. Trump co-owns with the casino magnate Phil Ruffin.

NEW: Jamal Khashoggi’s fiancé sues Mohammad bin Salman in DC Court over killing of Khashoggi, alleging the plan started there when he went to DC embassy. This is key for several reasons: it goes to whether Khashoggi’s phone was hacked and why/how the Saudis adjusted their plans.
We at @TAAP2020 recently wrote bin Salman/Saudi officials originally planned to harm Khashoggi in Virginia. The White House was allegedly warned of that plan—but didn’t tell Khashoggi.

Then, the Saudis suddenly changed plans. This suit could bring some discovery on that issue.
Per the lawsuit: “Defendants learned, after hacking mobile telephone(s) of Mr. Khashoggi’s associate(s), that Mr. Khashoggi had created and headed DAWN (human rights group) and Defendants were deeply concerned that Mr. Khashoggi’s activities in the United States, including..

MORE: U.S. Office of Special Counsel is pursuing two investigations into the State Department’s conduct.
In an April 23 letter viewed by The Times, special counsel officials said investigators had “found a substantial likelihood of wrongdoing” by the State Department.
Doctors at the University of Pennsylvania declined to discuss details but dismissed the idea of a psychological illness, saying the patients they treated had sustained a brain injury from an external source.

Why are Rudy Giuliani, Russian intelligence, Steve Bannon, Chinese energy company CEFC, Kremlin oil giant Rosneft and VTB Bank all connected to the “Hunter Biden emails” story? This is collusion on steroids and in broad daylight.

- Giuliani got story from GRU agent
- Bannon hyped it up
- story says Hunter tied to CEFC
- CEFC tried to buy Rosneft stake mentioned in Steele dossier
- VTB Bank financed purchase
- VTB in charge of Trump Tower Moscow
- Bannon ally Guo’s jet owned by VTB subsidiary
Crazy bunch of loose threads. But the story stinks to high heaven. Is it an attempt to put whatever shenanigans were going with Rosneft sale to the Bidens? Was CEFC corruptly involved with VTB Bank? Why was Bannon flying around on Guo’s jet, owned by VEB (VTB sub)?

The problem here is that the dossier has been mostly proven accurate. Carter Page did visit Moscow during the campaign; Russians were running influence campaigns for Trump; Trump did pursue real estate deals in Russia; Manafort’s dealings in Ukraine were illegal.
There are specifics about the dossier that appear incorrect (the intel Cohen visited Prague) or unproven (the pee tape). But the intelligence didn’t have the hallmarks of a Russian disinfo campaign because it came from a former MI6 agent.
Furthermore, no one was lying about how they got it. Steele gave it to American Congressional staffers. Republicans and later the DNC paid for the research—they didn’t lie.

Here, the “hard drive” was “dropped off to a computer store” before the company even sold them?

NYT: US Intelligence believes the Burisma “emails” released today are forged and part of a Kremlin-GRU attempt to influence the election.
Not surprising to many but glad to see NYT getting Intel folks to comment about fears the Burisma hack is connected to chatter about an “October surprise” and possible forgeries.
So people see for themselves:
