Pentagon's new senior advisor said politicians support Israel because they've been getting "very very rich," from the Israel lobby. And called U.S. involvement in World War Two a "disaster," engineered by the left to get out of the Great Depression.
"Mr. Bolton has become very, very rich and is in the position he's in because of his unconditional support for the Israeli lobby. He is their man on the ground, in the White House," Douglas Macgregor said. cnn.com/2020/11/13/pol…
"The same thing is largely true for Mr. Pompeo, he has aspirations to be president," he added. "He has his hands out for money from the Israeli lobby, the Saudis and others." cnn.com/2020/11/13/pol…
Here's what Macgregor, now senior Pentagon advisor, said about the United States' involvement in World War Two. He said there was no desire for war with Germany and called it a "disaster."
"Some would argue -and there's substantial evidence for it- that the only way to extricate ourselves from the terrible depression was to bring on this conflict with Japan, which was made inevitable when we embargoed them. That may well have been the case." cnn.com/2020/11/13/pol…

NEW: In comments made on the forum of a porn website between 2008 and 2012, Mark Robinson called himself a "Black Nazi," said he supported reinstating slavery and -despite a recent history of anti-transgender rhetoric - said he enjoyed watching transgender pornography. cnn.com/2024/09/19/pol…
On the porn website Nude Africa, Robinson also graphically described his own sexual arousal as an adult from the memory of secretly “peeping” on women in public gym showers as a teen, recounting the story as a memory he said he still fantasized about. cnn.com/2024/09/19/pol…
In another thread, commenters considered whether to believe the story of a woman who said she was raped by her taxi driver while intoxicated. In response, Robinson wrote, “and the moral of this story….. Don’t f**k a white b*tch!” cnn.com/2024/09/19/pol…
NEW: Harris called Trump’s border wall “a monument standing in opposition to not just everything I value, but to the fundamental values upon which this country was built” in 2019.
Now, she’s using Trump’s wall in an ad to say she’s tough on the border.
CNN identified one of the border walls in her new campaign ads as constructed during Trump’s presidency in Sasabe, Arizona, in an area where there had not previously been border wall (and building there was was quite controversial).
The other walls feature signs that they were Trump-era walls, such as so-called anti-climbing plates that were built during the Trump years. amp.cnn.com/cnn/2024/09/04…
In tweets from 2019, Harris called the same wall in her ads “wasteful,” “useless,” “a waste of taxpayer money,” “a vanity wall project,” “a wasteful border wall,” “a stupid wall,” “a medieval vanity project” and an “unnecessary wall." cnn.com/2024/09/04/pol…
NEW: During his 2006 congressional run, Tim Walz’s campaign falsely claimed he wasn’t drinking during his 1995 arrest and the DUI charge was dismissed. They even said he drove to the station.
In 2018, during his campaign for Minnesota governor, Tim Walz finally admitted to the facts of his 1995 arrest, acknowledging that he had been drinking and driving. He said it had been a life-changing moment.
He did not explain the discrepancies and how it was described in 2006.
NEW: JD Vance repeatedly indicated in 2016 that he believed Trump committed repeated sexual assault, questioned Trump’s credibility over his accusers and even tweeted, “What percentage of the American population has @realDonaldTrump sexually assaulted?”
Another post liked in 2016 by Vance said, “I wish there was a 2nd Vice Presidential debate just to see @GovPenceIN deny that Trump said he grabbed p*ssy.”
NEW: Ed Martin, a top leader on the RNC’s platform committee has entertained jailing women who get abortions and has advocated for a national ban without exceptions for rape.
He has pushed back on claims Trump is watering down the platform on abortion.
Martin, the deputy policy director for the convention’s platform committee, is one of threepeople the Republican National Committee selected in May to help craft the party’s platform, which serves as a blueprint for the Republican Party’s agenda by detailing policy positions and how Republicans and former President Donald Trump would govern if elected.
Martin has questioned the safety of a birth control and has also said there are no instances in which an abortion needs to be performed to save the life of a mother.
“It’s an absolute scientific fact that no abortion is ever performed to save the life of the mother. None, zero, zilch,” he said in June 2022.
NEW from me: JD Vance, a top candidate to be Trump's VP liked tweets in 2016 and 2017 that harshly criticized Trump and his policies — including one speculating that he'd serve in a Clinton administration.
Other tweets liked by Vance said Trump committed “serial sexual assault,” called him “one of USA’s most hated, villainous, douchey celebs." A since-removed set of tweets, also harshly criticized Trump’s response to the White nationalist rally in Charlottesville – something he now defends Trump over.
Vance liked a series of tweets calling then-candidate Trump a “monster” and a “nemesis of the GOP.” He also liked a tweet acknowledging “threats and derogatory terms Trump supporters hurl at Jews.” He even liked a tweet from CNN anchor Jake Tapper criticizing Trump’s tweet about a woman’s appearance amidst then-first lady Melania Trump’s campaign against cyberbullying.
He also liked a tweet that read, “Does any dad (or future dad) want to look his daughter in the eye and explain why he voted for Trump instead of 1st woman president?”
Among the harshest tweets Vance liked was one that called out Trump after the “Access Hollywood” tape surfaced, capturing previously unaired lewd and sexually aggressive remarks by the presidential nominee. “Maybe the Central Park 5 could take out a full-page ad to condemn the coddling of thug real estate barons who commit serial sexual assault,” the tweet read.
Other tweets Vance engaged with criticized signature Trump policies, including Trump’s hardline position on immigration and the tax cuts from 2017.
